You cannot say that trading is lose or profitable all the time. It differs as per the price movement in the bitcoin price graph. If the value bumps more than expected in the chart you will get the more returns in that day.
Have the bitcoin savings aside from the trading. That will be helpful to find the profit with the amount you holded. If you trade the bitcoin or alts as day trading by changing the trade spontaneously in the chart means you can get income in the good value.

Sometimes it pays to go with the crowd like when the whole market is pumping or dumping. But sometimes it pays to do the exact opposite of the crowd. I've been doing buying in Dec 2018 just like I was selling in Dec 2017.

As you said when it comes to trading the knowledge is really endless so I doubt anyone can tell you specific thing about trading unless you have a specific question about trading, you should start by doing some googling and then start asking about things you don't really understand.

Yup I agree, you can learn a lot in trading and build your own strategy for your own profit. Try to stick with your strategies and don't let your emotion ruin your trades.
