BITCOIN PRICE UNDER PRESSURE. In the last 48 hours the price dropped from about $650 to about $550 per Bitcoin. Over $1bn of market capitalization went lost. This drop is partially related to the security breach on the BitFinex exchange that caused a theft of something like 120K BTC. At this time it is not clear how Bitfinex is going to compensate the users. Lesson: If you have your funds in a third-party service remember your coins aren't really yours unless you control the private keys. You can find more details of the happenings here:

The Ethereum hard fork executed last week as a means of reimbursing investors who lost funds in the collapse of a major project has resulted in the creation of a competing currency called Ethereum Classic (ETC) on a blockchain replicating the platform's original consensus rules prior to the fork. ETC is gaining a lot of support from miners and exchanges and it is now the 3rd cryptocurrency for market capitalization. You can read all the news here:
http://bit.ly/2aupLaSCOINS IN EVIDENCE. Very interesting the performance of LeoCoin (LEO) that is still experiencing a very high volume of trading, over $63,000 in the last 24 hours. In the last 30 days the coin roughly doubled it's value, going from ~32,000 satoshi per unit (30 Jun) to ~71,000 per unit (Today). LEOcoin Foundation has recently made an important change to its protocol to make it more robust and user-friendly. The organization reports successful migration from the previously used Proof of Work consensus protocol, similar to that of Bitcoin to a more efficient Proof of Stake consensus protocol. The introduction of Proof of Stake algorithm makes it possible for everyone to get involved in the staking process, without having to invest in mining hardware and having to pay electricity costs. They ported the HODL concept and added "Bitbreak" Blockchain Shield (own development), that moves the chain in case the hashrate would drop under a certain level. The Team has also made a radical change of reducing the supply by a factor of ten, making ERC a semi-rare coin. 9 million coins in circulation and a max supply of 32 million ERC in 15 years. The number of altcoin projects with a thread on our forum surpassed 550 meaning that the majority of the altcoin community is already present. We have added some new sub boards to better fit the needs of the users, more specifically we have added a Marketplace Board where you can post your items for sale, a Jobs Offer Board where to looks for open positions in the blockchain industry and a Scam Report Board where to look for people/project to beware. I encourage all member who have fallen into a scam to report it in this specific area. Let's isolate the rotten apples!

This is something very important to establish connections and making networking within the crypto community. If you're doing business on the Internet don't miss to upload your logo as profile avatar.
