  • Three American Universities Targeted by Ransomware, Hackers Demanding Bitcoin

    According to a recent tweet by the twitter account Ransom Leaks, hackers have targeted three universities in the US with a ransomware attack. The hackers installed ransomware in the universities’ networks and demanded payment in Bitcoin.

    I am hoping these targeted universities can find ways to solve this problem without resorting to paying because this can be encouraging more of the same incident and something that is actually putting Bitcoin in the bad light. I hope that anti-hacking groups can come up with technologies to track these guys as they prefer to be menace to the society than be contributing a lot in building.
