Summer is here in the northern emisphere, August knocking at the door, time to take a vacation and spend some time at the beach. Bitcoin price is at 10K, after going up and down during the past weeks. 300 days left to next halving. I'm not expecting big news during the month of August (but I may be wrong) and I'm just wondering what is September bringing to us...
BITCOIN BLOCK REWARD HALVING: Halving is the event where the number of generated Bitcoin rewards per block will be halved (divided by 2). The Bitcoin block mining reward halves every 210,000 blocks, next time the coin reward will decrease from 12.5 to 6.25 coins. Reward-Drop ETA date: 19 May 2020 11:26:16. But please note that date is just an estimation, it will adjust during time, as 10 minutes block is just a statistic value.
ORBITCOIN BIRTHDAY: Orbitcoin ($ORB) will be 6 years old on July 28, 2019. Orbitcoin is a decentralized, open-source digital currency that is available on a blockchain-based platform with the same namesake. Also known as ORBS, the Orbitcoin digital tokens are mined using a hybrid Proof of Work (PoW) and Proof of Stake (PoS) system. The block hashing algorithm for the PoW system is NeoScrypt, and the block hashing algorithm for the PoS is SHA-256d, both standard hashing algorithms that are in popular use all throughout blockchain technology. Orbitcoin offers fast block target times (six minutes for PoW and three for PoS), with retargets every block using the Orbitcoin Super Shield. Block 1 of Orbitcoin was mined 2013-07-28 19:36:52.
