How to keep your funds secured?
« on: May 04, 2019, 05:00:52 PM »
Im quite new to crypto so i wanted to know what exchanges do you use and i'd be grateful for advises on security. I currently keep my crypto on localbitcoins but it recently got hacked to im concerned for my money. I want to move it somewhere safe but still be able to make trades without much fuss. Im still learning to trade but im pretty serious about it. Can you recommend me a good exchange that hasn't been hacked yet?

Well, you can use Binance, bittrex, Coinbase and others but if you are really concerned about security, I'd advice you get yourself a hardware wallet and you'd be 100% certain you cannot be hacked  ;D ;D ;D

Never ever save your money in an exchange website if you really concerned about your security of your fund, just safe in a desktop wallet or even better using hardware wallet.
Also if you want more privacy you can use anonymous coin like veil which leaves your fingerprint and any activities untraced. Why? simply because coin like veil will prevent hacker from lurking your wallet.

You should make use of any available privacy coin , Veil is one of the biggest privacy coins in the whole world currently, There is a back-up of a single 24-word recovery from your base coin and zero veil for maximum security and convenience. There is also a solution of a lightweight network privacy that makes transaction senderís IP address virtually untraceable.

If you really want to secure your funds then use decentralized exchanges so that you are responsible for your own funds but always be careful on the website, might be a phishing website.

It is not something that is discussed much but decentralized exchange also impose the risk of stolen private key, never ever think that decentralized is not storing your private key, they do store it even for temporary, if you want funds security try veil-project because this anonymous coin could reduce the risk of being imposed into phishing.

Hack is a major issue in the crypto space. And unless your funds are locked in good exchanges, you are not safe. I can only recommend Veil exchange at the moment, followed by Binance.

Keeping your fund secured starts with you for not sharing your private key publicly that's only way your funds or assets can be secured and never transfer your crypto fund to any electronic devices that has being exposed to public uses but another way for funds to be secured store it in your crypto wallet.

Exchanges are open to risk of been hacked, and I want you to know that there is no exchange that cannit be hacked and that is why it is not advisable to keep your coin on exchange for too long though some exchanges are more reliable then others
Hardware wallets are more secure if you can keep your PC free of malware, mobile wallets too are not bad if you can keep your private key safe.
