Bitcoin Crosses Above $4,000: Genuine Rally or Bull Trap?

Just two days after Cboe announced it would delete bitcoin futures, the cryptocurrency spot market turned into a short-term bullish.

The BTC / USD exchange rate jumped 3.30 percent in the last 24 hours to form a session high towards 4069. Simultaneously, the rest of the cryptocurrency market also went green, with Bitcoin Cash leading the bull package with a rise of 17.81%, followed by Litecoin, EOS, and Ethereum which rose 8.44-, 5.47-, and 6.25 percent respectively. Overall, cryptocurrency's market capitalization adds up to $ 6 billion in investment a day.

Yes, I realize it. I just checked on coinmarketcap, the price of Bitcoin is around $4,042. We must be quite happy with the improvement in Bitcoin price. We have been waiting for long time to see it crosses $4,000. But we should be careful with bull trap, the price can decline suddenly.

More likely a bull trap, we are getting manipulated by whales of course. The only thing we can do now is to ride that wave and we cant expect bull run for now because of FUDs.

It is not a real rally and at the same time it is not a bull trap, it is just a normal price move, the price was very close to 4k anyway so it is not really a big jump just a minor rise, I doubt there is any kind of trap and I also doubt that this will turn into a rally.

I think that this is not a bull trap, but a sideways action for the next few month for BTC, I will try to utilize my time by trading the minor price actions on PrimeXBT using leverage. Don't want to use bitmex as i was liquidated few times because of their instable platform and couldn't adjust my stop loss cause of lag (no such problems on Primexbt).

I think that the halting of CBOE futures is not by mistake... but thats pure personal speculation. Usually according to history Futures are launched on the top and ETF's are launched on the bottom and this is not by accident.

I think that a bull trap since it really hard for Bitcoin to break through $4,2000, perhaps will have a big decrease to correction then rise again
