Best OS for mining?

I'm wondering if there is a particularly good mining OS out there? Anything that affects speeds or accepts a wider range of mining software? Leaning towards a linux based solution but I'm open to anything.

If you doesn't no about linux better using Windows because it is more familiar.

There is some amazing OS that specially made for mining like Hiveos it is very easy to use and i is 100% optimized for mining and you can run it on just USB if you want, you should google them and make some research to make sure it will be the one for you.

OS? Honestly both Windows as well as Linux are cool.

Choose the OS according to your preferences (Maintainence, usability)

Win+CGMiner, Linux+CGMiner, etc can be good combo.

I've mined for Gentoo/Ubuntu/Win7/Win8, and

it's more about the stability of the miner program or drivers than the OS.

Though I don’t mine anymore.

They have the biggest developer team and are constantly releasing updates and improvements.

Agree, Hive OS is super stable, easy to manage on a larger scale, and has a lot of cool features which is constantly updating and adding new ones.

From my own experience I will say that Linux is the best OS for home mining, but mining cryptocurrencies at home is no longer relevant.
