As far as I understand, altcoin prices depend on Bitcoin. It may be also influenced by Ethereum, but I think it is not too crucial like Bitcoin. Bitcoin has a big influence on altcoin prices, we can easily know it on coinmarketcap when BTC goes up or down.

I would not say that it depends completely.  But mostly, there are sharp drops or rises.  And so, with some support, the price of altcoins can grow independently.

Altcoin price not depends on ethereum , all altcoin price is depends on bitcoin price.. as you can see now , on first April 2019 ago Bitcoin doing "shock pump" which is pump until 5% from three thousands dollar.. and also , other altcoin price going pump and "alive" too.. I see ethereum going pump more or less until 9-10% , xrp going pump more and less until 6-8%
