    Hello my dear forum member.

This is Secco, admin of Bitcoin Garden Forum, writing. Welcome to this new edition of the Bitcoin Garden Newsletter.

Christmas is almost here, and it is that time of the year when your kids will get busy with lots of activities and events that celebrate the occasion. I wish you a Christmas full of mathematics: addicted to pleasure, subtracted from pain, multiplied with happiness and divided in love with the people that matter most to you! And happy new year 2019. May the new year bring to you warmth of love, and a light to guide your path towards a positive destination!

Now some forum news: in the last few months the staff expanded with some new moderators. Moderators are here to help you and to make sure the forum is a safe environment for all of us, so please be kind to them and collaborate as much as you can. It is worth to remind that in every post there's a "Report to moderator" button, so every time you see a post that is objectionable, you're welcome to report it for proper investigation. Make sure to add a comment when reporting it, so moderators will know what's wrong with it and can quickly handle it. Now, please allow me to introduce the new moderators...

Bamzmeca is the new moderator of the trading and bounties areas. He's 29 years old, from Indonesia, and has been following the crypto markets for almost two years now. Synvc, 35 years old, trader, entrepreneur and cryptocurrency analyst is now in charge for the crypto discussion and crypto resources boards. fulled, gamer and crypto enthusiast, is taking care of the gaming/gambling board. Cimmy_revenger and jenica are new moderators for faucets and cloud mining.

We also have two new moderators for the local boards. elegant_joylin is new moderator for the Tagalog/Filipino board. She has more than 5 years experience in accounting/audit and equity research, and started to study crypto in October 2016. At the moment she's freelance mostly involved in marketing, management, promotions and translations of blockchain, crypto related projects. She's also a Filipino moderator of Moonforum. Finally comanche is the new moderator for the Turkish board.

BITCOIN 10TH ANNIVERSARY: On 31 October 2008, at 18:10 UTC, Satoshi Nakamoto released an email to the gmane.comp.encryption.general user group with a link to the bitcoin.pdf - the original Bitcoin paper that started the entire cryptocurrency universe, and blockchain technology, as we know today. Then, about 64 days later, on 3 January 2009, Satoshi Nakamoto launched the Bitcoin mainnet, mining the first 50 bitcoins - called the Genesis Block!

FORUM RULES UPDATED: We've added a new rule about quoting text. It is a common sense rule, applied in every forum, but since some people are maybe new at forum posting, we wanted to make it clear. In short, never quote an entire post, just quote just the part relevant to the discussion. This will make topic clear and discussion easy to follow. If you have not done yet, please take some time to review the forum rules https://bitcoingarden.org/forum/index.php?topic=56503.0 and please remember that some boards can have some extra specific rules. In case, check the pinned post in the relevant board.

However, awareness of how blockchains work and what they can accomplish is still relatively low. The lack of knowledge is exacerbated by the fast pace at which the technology is evolving. Blockchain Supply Chain is the forum connecting blockchain experts, supply chain and logistics decision makers and tech innovators. This intimate gathering will explore how companies are investigating the use and deployment of the technology to help their supply chains.
