Will Bitcoin become the reserve currency of the world?

Do you think Bitcoin will become the reserve currency of the world sometime in the future? I was wondering about this since Bitcoin is now a widely used cryptocurrency worldwide. Since most altcoins in the market today, are dependent on Bitcoin's price movements, it seems like Bitcoin is the reserve currency of cryptocurrencies.

However, if Bitcoin tends to become more popular each day, it could eventually take the USD's place as the reserve currency of the world. Hence, what are your thoughts about this? Will it happen or not?  Huh

I don't think it will become a "Reserve currency" only in the world because for me bitcoin is the future of all currencies. Sooner or later bitcoin will be the very usuable currency to do alot of things like buying, trading etc.

According to me, bitcoin will not be the world's reserve currency, but Bitcoin or cryptocurrency will be the world's alternative currency. because we can send it anywhere without obstacles and without distress.

I see Bitcoin as an asset which grow in value based on demand and supply from various trader and becoming famous as an online digital currency but can't be used as a reserved currency , I still believe fiat will lead it all but Bitcoin will only be an online tools for payment and accuracy with a decentralized way of payment which has nothing to do with government law and can be move around the world with no boundaries barrier.

I can see BTC growing but I cant see it becoming a reserve currency. With the instability of supply and no way to control its pricing directly from the bank and government, it would be hard to justify it as a reserve currency.

Just looking at the current trend, BTC will hit its cap by 2040. Once the cap is hit, unless the government can manage the supply, i dont see it can become a reserve.

If the government decides to release their own cryptocurrency which they can manage supply and price, then i can see it becoming a reserve currency. The currency should be stable and not affected by a lot of external factors which BTC can and will be.

Bitcoin is very poorly used and is used as currency, money, means of payment. Basically it is used as a speculative means of accumulating value. If bitcoin poorly fulfills its the main function of digital money, can it be the reserve currency of the world? This is despite the fact that he still has a throughput of seven transactions per second, when new coins already have a scalability of one million transactions per second. Probably, this question you want to play a trick on the current deplorable bitcoin?

To become a reserve currency of the world, it need an approval of the majority of the countries and global financial institutions and businesses. Bitcoin is not yet majority accepted as one of the legal currencies so it is not possible for the leading cryptocurrency to become a global reserve currency. It is more likely to continue to use as an alternative currency because it is designed that way. The volatile nature of bitcoin will also prevent countries from using it as a reserve currency because it is not a stable form of currency.

Bitcoin can't be a reserved currency for the world but it can be an alternative due to high population of people who has Keen interest in it

I would say "probably not" because it has to have to support of banks and governments... which it currently does not. But I think that'd be pretty amazing. I'm sure if that were the case the price of BTC would be sky high.

many states will not allow this, in the beginning cryptocurrency needs to be legalized throughout the world, then changes will be possible, but this requires at least 10 years

In my opinion, the answer is no because Bitcoin and all of the crypto currencies will become the main currencies in someday in the future. They have more advantages than current fiat, faster, more convenient

I heard people referring to bitcoin as digital gold. That's not far away from the truth. Gold is basically endless, bitcoin is less than 20 mils now, lots of coins lost, owners forget about them or died.

I hardly believe BTC will replace fiat money in the nearest future.
