With 5 x Multi-algo, Masternodes and then 6th algo POS will change the make up of current rewards etc. Dynamic rewards will also be introduced into the mix. New calculations are being devised.

Block reward is based on block height and difficulty so there is no cheap to mine blocks. That's a good thing for price stability.

Dynamic masternode reward
Masternode rewards to raise with every new mined block, new coin creation will not suffer from too high of inflation and the market prices can adapt smoothly to raising masternode rewards.

After various discussions, charts and scenerios we are unable to project how many miners will be mining Bata after the switch to multi-algo.
There will Dynamic block rewards (block reward is based on block height and difficulty) because of the multi-algo nature of the new wallet.

0.25 BTA will be set as the highest reward, which is configurable by spork and the limit can be disabled if need be.

update from dev - Everything tested, pull request made. I hope everything will go smooth.
We need to build wallets and then update Explorer and rebuild database to see segwit transaction with proper prefix. If explorer will be OK, then we can go to update pools. They don't need to do any changes to configuration at this stage. If pool will be working and block will be generated without problem then we can go to update exchanges.
After that we can release wallets for general public.
After that we have to wait until most of network will go to new wallet and then we can enable multialgo. Scrypt mining should go without configuration changes on all pools then. They just add other algos then.
After that we can start masternodes, etc.

Bata Core 0.16.2.79 Release Announcement

We are happy to announce the release of 0.16.2.79.

Update includes Bitcoin Core 0.16 wallet with Dash Core 0.12 features.

We encourage all full node operators (pools, explorers) to update to avoid initial sync issues in the future.

Old wallets will fork because v2 blocks will not be backward compatible - multi algo will be enabled.

SHA256D, SCRYPT, NIST5, LYRA2Z, X11 and X16R will be Bata's multi algo.

Block rewards will be dynamic up to 0.25 BTA. That means only with enough nethash full block rewards will be mined.

A spork is a mechanism that was unique to Dash. Now a mechanism of Bata (BTA)
It used to safely deploy new features to the network through network-level variables to avoid the risk of unintended network forking during upgrades.

Hello everyone,

Difficulty was wrong in new algos as there were no previous blocks. We reverted back to scrypt.


Github source code has been updated (0.16.2.80) with error rectified - https://github.com/BTA-BATA/Bataoshi

Wallets will be compiled. Exchanges and pools contacted to update.

Block number to start multi algo will be decided soon. 

Please update to rectify issue.
