There Are Now More Than 500 Cryptocurrency Exchanges

Earlier days of bitcoin you can count the number of exchanges related to cryptocurrencies like Bitstamp, Mt Gox, Btc-e, Vircurex and some others. But now there are over 500 exchanges to choose from. Also that number of exchanges growing with every passing week. Now in world calculation of exchanges are a lot harder than it feels. Coinmarketcap counts 208 and other cryptocurrency tracking sites list dozens more there are regional exchanges in hundreds those only accessible within selective countries and continents for example Canada has Einstein Exchange, Africa has Golix, Australia has ACX and there are more launching this year. In Australia block bid has also just gained its license.
When bitcoin ecosystem was held by one exchange name Mt Gox. There was a single point of failure that duly crashed the markets when Gox eventually broke and know with hundreds of exchanges to choose from today that should not be an issue.
