Blockchain technology platform DECENT, in partnership with Dragonfly, a distribution platform for games, today announces the launch of ALAX, a project that is already in development, will use blockchain to improve the speed and efficiency of app sales.

DECENT has developed a proprietary blockchain platform called DCore which will help Dragonfly reduce costs, tackle piracy issues, and speed up exchange rates and payment processing.

Traditionally, to buy games or apps, users had to use PayPal, credit cards, or make payments using prime rate SMS, where mobile network operators would take 50-70% commission from the price paid by the user for an app/game. This becomes especially problematic in countries where the primary method of payment is via SMS. With ALAX, payments can be made directly to the developer using ALAX tokens. This reduces the prices for content for gamers, and expedites the transaction. Game developers can then exchange the ALAX tokens for a FIAT currency (USD, EUR, THB, PHP..) at any time.

Since all the transactions are recorded in the blockchain, developers will have a precise overview of the sales of their games, and be able to ensure they are getting a fair deal. It will not only increase the confidence of game developers but also keep up with the ever-increasing demand for game sales – which is currently at 2000 transactions per second and expected to grow to 7000+ in the coming years....

DECENT, pioneers in the blockchain space with their own proprietary blockchain technology and platform, recently announced the launch of a new blockchain project for games and applications called ALAX. The project is a collaboration between DECENT and Dragonfly, a well established distribution platform for gaming apps.

ALAX, a new venture between blockchain technology company DECENT and games distribution platform Dragonfly, has today released a white paper outlining further details of its token structure and confirming that it’s TGE will commence on April 17th 2018.

A number of intended partnerships are set to be announced in the coming days, which will see the platform preinstalled on millions of smartphones, particularly in the fast-growing South-East Asian and South Asian mobile markets.

The token-based ALAX platform will give developers access to tens of millions of game and app consumers who do not use credit or debit cards (the World Bank Global Finance Index 2014 identified 2 billion ‘unbanked’ adults worldwide), yet do have relatively easy access to cash and 3G/LTE smartphones.

With the ALAX platform, customers will be able to purchase ALA tokens in cash through the existing Dragonfly retailer network. Even though February is the shortest month of the year, DECENT was able to accomplish quite a lot in just 4 weeks! The blockchain company has put forward a monthly overview which highlights some of their accomplishments, events & milestones.

Starting with their technical achievements, DECENT made several big announcements and released a DCore technical roadmap, the first of its kind for DECENT which was actually written by developers and explained their focus on improving infrastructure and making DCore accessible for mass adoption.

In reference to the road map, DECENT is already ahead of schedule with the updated version of working API and SDK documentation. The updated webpage is dedicated for DCore technical documentation with loads of important information for miners, developers and anyone looking for insights into the technical nature of DCore.

This month DECENT also began implementing a web voting tool for miners and the design for a new website is coming along smoothly. They are looking at outsourcing the development to reduce the load on their inhouse team....
