Not long ago, the center for macroeconomics and the center for economic policy research conducted a survey of almost 50 academic universities across Europe. The majority were optimistic about the risk posed by the digital currency despite repeated warnings by senior financiers.

  • I agree. Some of the countries using bitcoin for their trading. Among the people, bitcoin became very popular.Some of the people start their own bitcoin business also.So Bitcoin is not a threat. But Bitcoin may be asset or currency.

    He said Bitcoin is not a threat because it is not a currency and it should not become a currency because of its instability. In other words, he does not believe Bitcoin is a viable alternative to fiat let alone a competitor. Not exactly a positive story.

    National Bank of Belgium governor Jan Smets said in an interview that bitcoin is not a threat to central banks because it is not stable. ... Unlike the euro, bitcoin is not guaranteed by a central bank or government asa means of payment so bitcoin is not a currency.
