MICRO wallets & "micro" payments
« on: December 14, 2017, 05:05:14 PM »
Hi all,
Just out of curiosity, if I send any coin, btc or any other, to an address which is linked to 2 different wallets, where that payment is gonna go?

Thanks!

What do you mean with "address linked to 2 different wallets"?

Do you mean using the same address in two different wallet software? Like having the same bitcoin address on Bitcoin Core and Electrum? Well, coins are not stored on the wallet itself, transactions are written on the blockchain, so you'll have the correct balance on both wallets.

Yes, that's what I meant. Thank you very much for the answer and for the brief explanation.

If I could go further, with a more specific case, like electrum and for example Faucethub? Situation changes, am I wrong?

    Of course thanks.

I haven't use faucethub in a while, but as far as I know that is not a real wallet, it is just an account in a 3rd party system. Same apply to the exchanges. What they give you is a tracking address to make deposits... in fact, you will cannot obtain the keys of your deposit addresses...
