I think same question has been asked many times every year. But bitcoin price is always above every proceeding yearlike last year its price was near 300 to 500$ but now it is at 4000$ but may next year we see it at 20,000$ and so on. So I dont think it is too late to buy bitcoin but we know that where there is big reward there is loss as well so if it go down u have to face loss but its chances are very very tiny

it is going to 5000$ soon and i think till end of 2017, it is going to 7000$ easily. lets see this happens or not

Bitcoin is not a get rich quick scheme but has been the only crypto asset to work well as a long term store of value for several years now. Other alt-coins may have greater price increases in the near future but they're all less mature and it is basically a gamble at this point.
If you want to risk the less possible downside on your capital, you may want to chose the more mature asset that is bitcoin.
Having said this, it is important to note the upside potential of bictoin is still enormous as it is still only a niche asset that can grow several orders of magnitude.
