Not on eBay Shibes! Don't sell your coins on eBay, except if you plan to load them on a wallet and send it with post! If you don't have a tracking number, you are not covered by seller's protection. I am sure many of you have already been scammed and you can confirm my story. Stay safe!

Following last month’s boom in price, Dogecoin now boasts a total market capitalization of over $1 billion USD. Curiously, the price milestone appears to have garnered criticism from the projects developers and creator – who have criticized the preponderance of speculative considerations within the cryptocurrency markets.

Dogecoin Now Boasts a $1.16 Billion Market Cap
The Dogecoin markets reached the historic 10-figure threshold following DOGE’s 400% price gains that were witnessed during December 2017. As of this writing, the price of the DOGE is testing resistance at the recently established all-time high of approximately $0.0105.

Dogecoin Developers Lament Billion Dollar Market Cap Milestone

Add up to Market Capitalization of DOGE from December 2013

Shockingly, the billion dollar advertise valuation has gathered analysis from compelling figures inside the Dogecoin camp. Jackson Palmer, the author of Dogecoin who left the venture in 2015, is accounted for to have abraded the present condition of widespread theory that encompasses most altcoins, expressing: "I have a great deal of confidence in the Dogecoin Core improvement group to keep the product steady and secure, however I think it says a ton regarding the condition of the cryptographic money space when all is said in done that a cash with a pooch on it which hasn't discharged a product refresh in more than 2 years has a $1B+ advertise top."

Dogecoin: Elon Musk’s Favorite Cryptocurrency Now Listed by Huobi
    « Reply #39 on: April 05, 2019, 03:58:08 AM »

Veteran exchange Huobi announced today that it would be listing three pairs for Dogecoin: DOGE/BTC, DOGE/ETH, and DOGE/USDT.

    WHEN MOON?
Dogecoin recently experienced a significant pump but has corrected on its BTC peg in the interim. The limitless supply cryptocurrency created by Jackson Palmer in 2014 has historically ranged between 50 and 100 Satoshis per coin, sometimes reaching as high as 2-300.

The currency is widely traded and used in many places that also accept Bitcoin, Litecoin, and Ethereum, including gambling sites and payment processors. Notably, it is one of the oldest cryptocurrencies with a reasonable hashrate not to be offered by Coinbase for sale.

    HUOBI CALLS DOGE “HIGH-QUALITY”
    Huobi writes in their announcement:

In a dedicated effort to provide our customers with carefully vetted and high-quality trading options, we are announcing support for a new addition to the Huobi Marketplace: Dogecoin (DOGE).

Perhaps intentionally, the team did not announce this news on April fool’s day, when people might have taken that wording for a joke. While some still view Dogecoin as a “joke,” we have previously noted here that the cryptocurrency – based on a meme – maintains a high degree of liquidity and trading platforms.

YOU’D BE SURPRISED HOW MANY PLACES YOU CAN TRADE DOGE AGAINST FIAT STABLECOINS
Aside from Huobi, several other exchanges offer stablecoin pairs for Dogecoin, which enables traders to visualize a fiat value for the crypto. Huobi Global (hbg.com) is the eighth largest crypto exchange by trading volume, as of press time. Trading and withdrawals will begin a few hours from now, at 7 PM PST. You can deposit on Huobi.com and HBG.com.

Huobi.com was previously HBUS, the exclusive US partner of Huobi.

Dogecoin creator Jackson Palmer recently rankled some crypto community members when he went on a bit of a tirade about the viability of Bitcoin and comparisons with other networked technologies, like the Internet, in terms of investment, userbase, and scaling.

Just two days ago, Telsa CEO Elon Musk said his favorite cryptocurrency is Dogecoin – his choice might be related to Palmer helping him deal with Twitter scams some time back. Musk said:

    https://twitter.com/elonmusk/status/1113009339743100929

The Tweet was in response to a semi-joke from the Dogecoin community about electing a CEO for the cryptocurrency. Palmer has long since abdicated any critical role in the crypto, admitting that it was started on a whim long ago and having several in-fights in the early days.

Palmer made a joke about Dogecoin recently:

    https://twitter.com/ummjackson/status/1113179292643414016

But the joke currency’s founder has made it publicly clear that he has no involvement in any cryptocurrency project at all, at present:

    https://twitter.com/ummjackson/status/1112447460662665216

Coinflict of Interest, a browser plugin that processes Twitter users and categorizes their cryptocurrency biases, shows that Palmer favors Ethereum over Bitcoin or Bitcoin Cash.

Dogecoin and Elon Musk: A Perfect Match?
    « Reply #40 on: April 05, 2019, 07:23:28 AM »

Perhaps Tesla CEO Elon Musk can have better luck with cryptocurrencies than he can with his cars. The entrepreneur and businessman recently commented that Dogecoin was his favorite cryptocurrency, and the asset is now spiking to unprecedented levels.

For a Joke, Dogecoin Is Getting Big

For those who don’t already know, Dogecoin began as a joke. The meme of a cute little Shiba Inu was enough to capture cryptocurrency enthusiasts’ hearts and turn the idea into an asset that has managed to withstand competition from other major currencies ranging from bitcoin and Ethereum to Litecoin.

Never hesitant to speak his mind about cryptocurrencies, Tesla CEO Elon Musk recently commented that while bitcoin was a “brilliant thing” and that he’d like Ethereum “even if it was a scam,” Dogecoin may be a step above these and other digital currencies that have reached mainstream status.

    In a tweet, Musk stated:

Dogecoin might be my favorite cryptocurrency. It’s pretty cool.

He later sent out a follow up tweet that read “Dogecoin rulz.”

What Musk probably wasn’t expecting was that he would be “elected” to a new position within the Dogecoin community and crowned the currency’s king and leader. Dogecoin ultimately held a “contest” of sorts, asking users who they would prefer as the currency’s new CEO. The choices came down to Musk, Charlie Lee of Litecoin fame, Vitalik Buterin who invented Ethereum, and Metal Pay founder Marshall Hayner.

Lee and Buterin came up short in the vote, scoring only nine and eight percent respectively. Hayner scored better, garnering 29 percent of the vote, but it was Musk who came out on top. With roughly 54 percent of the vote, Dogecoin submitted a tweet to users, reading:

We have listened to your concerns. We have decided that Dogecoin does need a CEO. Someone who can lead us into the future while maintaining the core values of what we are.

What’s unclear is how serious the contest really is. Will Musk, with everything he’s experiencing, step up and serve as the CEO of a digital currency that was never meant to exist in the first place?

Maybe Dogecoin and Musk Aren’t Meant to Be

Apparently, that seriousness lasted – but only for about five seconds. Musk temporarily changed the title on his Twitter page to “CEO of Dogecoin,” but later altered it to “former CEO.” Enthusiasts probably shouldn’t expect much more at this point.

Musk has some pretty big fish to fry, one being the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The organization recently targeted the Tesla CEO and claimed that he released incorrect information regarding Tesla’s production rates on Twitter. This was an alleged violation of a settlement Musk had reached with the SEC in September of last year, and his position with Tesla is now hanging by a string. The question remains whether he’ll be temporarily forced to step down.

DogeCoin, and its relevance to the crypto ecosystem
    « Reply #41 on: July 11, 2019, 06:50:38 AM »
    What is Dogecoin?
Up until the last decade, cryptocurrencies were a topic buried within the interests of techizens and finance geeks. Not anymore! At this point, there are probably more cryptocurrencies than we know what to do with. It’s not even funny. Or is it? Meet the cryptocurrency named after a meme - Dogecoin.

    Dogecoin: The Basics

Dogecoin is a cryptocurrency just like the Bitcoin, except it has a friendly(ier?) logo. The marketing seems to be on point - who doesn’t like dogs?

While Dogecoin was introduced just for fun in 2013, it got pretty serious when the public began to lap it up and thrust it into celebrity coin status.
It began to see some development as well, which only helped it rise higher among the other cryptocurrencies.
    Dogecoin Development

Dogecoin launched for the world in 2013 via Billy Markus, Jackson Palmer, and “Shibetoshi Nakamoto” - an obvious play on the name of Bitcoin’s creator - Satoshi Nakamoto.
Shibetoshi is not a real person of course, but refers to the Shiba Inu breed of dogs whose faces make the popular Doge meme, and the logo of this cryptocurrency.

The idea was to make a fun cryptocurrency that would be free from controversies that normally surrounded all the others.
The Dogecoin cryptocurrency intended to originally have a hard cap of 100 billion tokens. This was later removed.
The Dogecoin community has frequently raised funds for charitable causes - from the 2014 Winter Olympics to NASCAR.
In 2014, Dogecoin also goes its first ATM, with a launch in Vancouver.

I think dogecoin is also a good coin and also a coin that has a long future, for me now dogecoin is also increasing this week, and the price is still relatively cheap, so I think it is also a profitable opportunity to take a lot of dogecoin in the run long
