[ANN] BitMoney centralized digital currency
« on: April 16, 2015, 11:07:22 PM »
I know here everybody likes decentralization, but probably somebody will be interested... We'd like to present a new digital currency - BitMoney. It's available in i2p network only so you must install it first (https://geti2p.net/en/). There are available cross-platform desktop client on our site http://bitmoney.i2p via i2p torrents. There are many features presented, most important are: cheap and fast transactions with encrypted notes, steady mining complexity. You can easily integrate it with your services. For example, to replace captcha spam protection things. Beta just started so any feedbacks are very welcome.

P.S. I've uploaded client and manual pdf here http://www.fileconvoy.com/dfl.php?id=g5e40a3048b617f2e9996512643aea50edb7da8024 you still won't be able use it without i2p, but at least can overview the features.

Hello. Unfortunately not. It's using i2p features for security reasons (like client authentication). It's not too complicated to install i2p properly though, 10min probably, and it starts around 5min. You can read manual for details.

Our site is also available as http://sd7asgdgnicjyj6lkaavux77u4vyvhv62pm3dfmluoc4xuivxb4a.b32.i2p.us/ But the forum requires BitMoney (very small amount for spam protection) for registration. You can ask here (or PM) about i2p installation if interested.

Hi there, I am BitMoney-dev team member. At last we released our payment system on Bitcointalk.org: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1241229.0

Since this update you may buy Bitcoin for mined Bitmoney on our build-in exchange. Please, help us to test it.
Feel free to ask me any questions in this topic.

I reply the announcement with description here:

PLEASE download Manual first, it will really resolve most of your problems.

Name: BitMoney[.i2p]
Ticker: BTM (or BTMI2P, BTM is used internally everywhere for now)

Home page:
bitmoney.i2p (requires i2p installation, download and read manual for more information),
Any *.i2p websites are also available in clearnet as *.i2p.xyz (http://bitmoney.i2p.xyz for example), but it's less safe (possible MITM).

Client archive (portable standalone cross-platform .NET desktop GUI application) v. 0.0.4.7620:

PGP keys and file signatures can be found on http://bitmoney.i2p

Overview

BitMoney is a payment system for on-line services with fast, cheap and secure transactions. It's based on own minable digital currency (BTM symbol).

Main features

* No personal info required. Just download the client application and use.
* Centralized emission and payments processing.
* Solo POW CPU-oriented mining with constant complexity.
* 1 BTM production cost ~ 1 minute of 4 core CPU computations.
* Fast and cheap transactions with encrypted notes (0.01% + 1 BTM for now).
* Anonymous (for clients) transfers optionally.
* Unlimited total supply of coins.
* Built-in message service with 100% SPAM protection.
* Built-in exchange (with Bitcoin for now).

Technical details

* Portable standalone cross-platform full managed .NET desktop GUI application (runs on every system where .NET Framework 4.5.0 or Mono are presented, Linux compatible).
* Small storage requirements
* Ready to work immediately after start.
* Client-server protocols based on the i2p network, most experienced system for anonymous and encrypted communication.
* Client authentication and encryption key exchange based on RSA with 2048 bit keys. Everything including local settings is encrypted with AES-256.
* Easy integration with your services and applications via invoices and JSON-RPC 2.0 API.
* Scrypt 32 MB RAM mining algorithm (N=215 R=8 P=1). Possibly will be changed in the future.
* Built-in native CPU miner both for Windows and Linux.

Briefly about the i2p network:
"I2P is an anonymous overlay network - a network within a network. It is intended to protect communication from dragnet surveillance and monitoring by third parties such as ISPs." (https://geti2p.net/en/ to know more). These and some other i2p capabilites are highly utilized in our project.

Alternative I2p-Snark torrent client magnet links:

Client: magnet:?xt=urn:btih:c9788433097471d45d1bbc04a8e86f5047679d4e

A few words about the project:

BitMoney[.i2p] is more a payment system like Paypal than a cryptocurrency. It has beed developed rather to be useful service for everyday internet activity by providing fast and cheap way to process microtransactions without limitations than for saving or investing. BitMoney has a centralized architecture to achieve these goals in effecient and flexible way. There are pros and cons for both of approaches but we hope to mitigate almost all of conceptual problems of centralization in the future development, probably except trust in general.

Client source will be available in the future, it's just messy in some places to publish now. IlSpy will help those of you who wants to be sure it's not a fraud, code (c# 6.0) is not obfuscated.

We highly need your support for the advancement. No IPOs, no appeals to invest (anyway our goal is a stable exchange rate, not high or low) but reviewing, testing, bug reporting and your services integration are very valuable.

Many features for the payment processing has been already implemented and there will be more. For example, in the next release we are planning to implement convenient off-line payments like VISA system has, so clients will not have to run i2p and BitMoney app to make a pay.

We'll try to maintain BTM demand on built-in exchange so you could buy some BTC for mined BTM. But our resources are low, it's more the way to determine the equilibrium price. Marketmakers are welcome too, though there isn't exchange API for now.

Wipes are definitely not planned.

Any proposals and feature requests are welcome.

Contacts:

For the i2p network (preferable) could be found in Manual on on our site http://bitmoney.i2p/contacts.html
This topic and PM on bitcointalk.org are also browsed of course.
Probably some more will be added later.

*** Native libs on Windows requires Visual C++ 2012  Redistributable Packages

*** For the first guys with first bought BTC on exchange: set withdraw value as (actual balance - 0.0002) (like 0.0008 for 1 lot), it's for the Bitcoin fee.

So, here is the first mining and trading experience: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1241229.40

We'll be glad to see any opinions and suggestions.

By the way, you may send me a test message in the build-in chat.
My user GUID 1926ed01-b43f-1e82-558a-3b4cf9163c8c , and you'll also have to enter my anti-spam permission GUID: 9781c78c-0582-421b-8188-440dbda25904

Try to reg on our forum, it's also an interesting quest.  http://bitmoney.i2p/forum/index.php (you need to have some BTM for registration). It's an example of how our service may be used in the future for anti-bot and anti-spam reasons.

One of the most popular questions (and the answer):

Quote from: kondiomir on Today at 05:50:05 PM
PLS somebody to tell me how to deposit in the internal wallet exchange STEP BY STEP!
Tried hard about 10 times - no luck Smiley

A:
First make a wallet "Wallet" > "Register new" and a mining account "Mining" > "Register new account".
After that login with both of them, mine some BTM and refill your wallet.
Create exchange account and there make order to deposit BTM account (Right click on the BTM account string).
Open "Deposit list" ("Exchange" > "Deposits") and after right click on your deposit choose "View payment details".
Select and Copy invoice data.
(For example:
{
  "WalletTo": "00000000-0000-0000-0000-00000001",
  "CommentBytes": "f0000000000000000000000000000000000000",
  "TransferAmount": 100,
  "ForceAnonymousTransfer": false
}
Then "Wallet" > "Process invoice".
Clear the window "Process wallet invoice"
Paste there your payment invoice data.
Click OK and in the next window OK again, enter your waller passwords.
That's it, payment will be sent to your BTM exchange account.
