How to protect cryptocurrency from blocking on the exchange?
« on: March 01, 2022, 01:05:17 PM »
Some cryptocurrency exchanges have started blocking user accounts from Russia, Ukraine and Belarus, as well as disabling trading pairs with the ruble. Restrictions for users have already been introduced by the BTC-Alpha, KUNA and CEX IO exchanges. There are rumors that Binance, the largest crypto exchange in the world in terms of trading volumes, may soon introduce restrictions, but representatives of the platform denied this information.

Due to recent events, users of decentralized crypto exchanges may be under attack. For example, the PancakeSwap platform will block access for users from Belarus, Cuba, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Iran, Iraq, North Korea, Sudan, Syria, Zimbabwe and Crimea from March 9. Users from the listed countries will not be able to use the platform and access the deposits opened on it.

Does this mean that it is time to urgently switch to using projects that are free from the influence of the authorities and external pressure? For example, Crypton Exchange https://crp.is/ . What do you think about it?

It can be good in the means of anonymity. As Telegram and other popular messengers are not private + many stuff is blocked now in a number of countries. So it's a good service for private communications. It's also good it has a privacy coin and own no KYC decentralized exchange. But financial situation is so unstable that I don't know if it will work.

At the moment, many users have no idea what to do next, but they can at least assume and try to save their situation. The situation in the world is not the most stable and adequate right now, so it's better to try all the options.

I only hope that the war will be over soon and people won't die anymore because of some political games. And I hope that projects like Utopia p2p will help them at least a little to keep the safe communication and to save their money. Let's pray for better.

I agree with you! Now we should hope for a speedy end to this horror. I am glad that the application developers did not take advantage of the war and did not make them paid.

Now is not the right time to make applications paid. No one will use it in such case. People don't have much spare money. And as the devs didn't ask for any investments before, even in its crypto, the app should remain free to use forever, I guess.

Hmm, maybe you're right, of course. At least we agree with you on one thing - developers do not require users to pay for the application and that's good.
