What's the best way to watch Neon Genesis Evangelion?v

Watch the original series (all 26 episodes) and then watch the End of Evangelion. Depending on your point of view episodes 25 and 26 are concurrent with the End of Evangelion.

Then watch the Rebuild movies. They are an alternate version.
