Bitcoin bonds of El Salvador will appear in March.

Finance Minister Alejandro Celaya said that the Bitcoin bonds will be issued between March 15 and 20,
and the oversubscription will amount to $500 million (the country originally planned to raise $1 billion).

El Salvador's first bitcoin bonds will have a 6.5% yield and a maturity in 2032.
Half of the emission will go to buy bitcoin, the rest will go to other purposes, such as the development of energy infrastructure and mining.

The bonds will be issued on the Liquid Network sidechain from Blockstream. The minimum purchase is from $100.

Fitch Ratings has downgraded El Salvador's long-term foreign currency default rating to 'CCC' from 'B-'.
