Buy Bitcoin at Swan Bitcoin. Cheap rates. Then send it to an exchange (to buy other coins) or cold storage. Coin base is perfectly fine - especially for a beginner. Kraken is also good.

I like Binance, the no 1 exchange that has a large community. I think almost everyone has an account there for trading and staking. binace has a very complete feature that's one of its advantages.
I have never used a kraken, how are the trading fees there?

Binance and FTX is my recommendations to all as these two are the most innovative in the exchange field. I mostly use FTX for their zero withdrawl fee system except ethereum and erc20 tokens.

there are many good exchanges you can use besides binance such as ftx, kucoin, kraken, indodax, tokocypto etc. all exchanges have their respective advantages

Binance, Huobi, and Kucoin are fine and enough. ıf you live in U.S. Coinbase and Kraken are also fine.

The most recommended exchange for trading should be Binance. It has many coins and it is already trusted as the number 1 exchange in the world. Also, Binance has the best security system and has many features for a trader. I think there is no other exchanges that has great advantages like Binance.
