General Discussion, Non Crypto Stuff / Re: what helps you make money?
« on: July 05, 2022, 05:25:15 PM »
Primarily from trading forex and crypto. I started writing on the side but there are a lot of hoops to get through to get published, so that's a long-term goal. Sometimes I enter writing contests with cash prizes and I've always won money on forums that I post on before. Not a significant amount, but free money is always awesome.

Hi Jack! It's good that you're thinking of investing the money you inherited instead of just blowing it. Crypto could certainly be the way to go. Hope this site helps you!

General Discussion, Non Crypto Stuff / Re: Travel and Dating

Only bad thing about dating and traveling is possibly meeting someone that lives far away. Then one or both of you have to move, or you get into a long-distance relationship which usually doesn't work out.

I do think that there are some genuine women online looking for someone, but you also have to worry about being catfished. I'd look at multiple sites to see which has more people in your area, and use Snapchat or ask them to send a picture proving that it's the same person from their profile picture. Ask them to write something on a piece of paper so you don't waste your time trying to date someone that doesn't really exist.

I prefer using Straight Talk. I don't buy the newest phone but I recently got an iPhone 11 through them for $300. It's about $50 per month for phone time, but there are no hidden fees and you don't necessarily have to renew on the day you run out if you're broke. They do offer a dollar off if you enroll in auto-refill, but you can choose. I get an unlimited data plan.

I'd say that it depends. If you want to make money quick with little effort, then no, it isn't. If you're looking to make a reasonable amount of money and understand that it will take time and experience to improve, then yes, it can very well be worth it.

Realize that everyone has start at the beginning and do the research to be sure that you're willing to put in time and effort. Start with sites like Babypips and find some good YouTube channels to subscribe to. Work your way up to more difficult subjects and start developing a plan and decide what type of trader you want to become. Then, pick a broker and start trading on a demo account and go from there. Good luck!

Investing in forex and crypto is the number one way I've been making money, but I've also been working on writing projects including a book and some online writing and poetry contests. There are a lot of paid ones, but also several free ones if you're good at writing. Blogging can be profitable, but I haven't gotten mine off the ground yet, so can't say how well that would do. I would try to find something you're good at as far as writing, designing, drawing, or something you have a lot of knowledge about and then try to see what options there are for making money from it.

General Discussion, Non Crypto Stuff / Re: Anyone play golf
« on: June 06, 2022, 10:54:24 PM »
My husband likes golf but I'm definitely no expert. I want to say he buys medium-quality supplies to play with? Not sure what's considered top-tier though, I think it can get quite expensive.

I've wondered the same. Just haven't had the time to do a lot of research into it or to test it out myself. I'm hoping to see some real answers here from actual people to get some more insight.

Sounds like your wife is quite lucky  ;)

I'm a stay at home mom and my main income comes from trading crypto and forex, but I've been working on some side projects likely. I've been entering some poetry/writing contests, considering freelance work, working on children's book idea, became an ambassador for a weight loss product, and started a blog. A lot of these things are just getting off the ground while I try to figure out which ideas are the most lucrative. What about you guys? Does anyone else do anything else, aside from trading?

Hi!  I haven't heard it but wanted to welcome you to the forum!

Need this because I still can't seem to explain it to my husband, or he stops listening halfway through  ;D

A lot of those recovery services are also scams...so those that are scammed in the first place wind up losing even more money. It's great to hear success stories in these cases though!
