Crypto Discussion / Build and They Shall Come
« on: March 06, 2020, 04:00:12 PM »

Both development activity and exposure play an important role in the market share consumed by a project.

Some projects tend to focus on development activity and others on exposure. As the fight for market share is more competitive than ever, projects that prioritize one pillar over the other tend to be outperformed by those that prioritize both.

While Status and Aragon have high dev. activity, their lack of focus on exposure reflects in their low market capitalization compared to other ERC-20 competitors that have lower dev. activity but higher focus on exposure.

Scam Reports & Crypto Crime / Is AMFEIX a Scam?
« on: March 05, 2020, 06:22:53 PM »

If something's too good to be true, then it probably is.

This is a statement people seem to regularly ignore, particularly in Crypto. AMFEIX has received over $50M from people by promising returns ranging from 48% - over 100% a year. The fund manager remains anonymous.

Various Crypto media outlets have helped AMFEIX acquire victims. It is odd to see even Etherscan, which has investments from the owner of the $2B Grayscale Trust, is promoting AMFEIX.

Crypto Discussion / Ripple's Investment in MoneyGram
« on: March 04, 2020, 05:22:23 PM »

Ripple recently released $200M+ in XRP tokens. Moments like these are a good time to dwell on how effectively Ripple spends its free funds.

Case in point: Ripple's MoneyGram Acquisition.

Ripple purchased a 15% stake in MoneyGram for $50M. Today, that stake is worth less than $20M. However, the interesting thing is that this deal was unprofitable from day 1. Ripple purchased MoneyGram shares at a $333M valuation when the company's market cap was not even $100M.

By buying shares off the market, Ripple's $50M investment would’ve given it a controlling equity stake (50%+) in MoneyGram rather than just 15%.

The last two "deposit-reward" listings on Binance have a completely opposite price chart.  While LTO price had a rational reaction, massive appreciation, COTI's price completely dumped.

Price should reasonably not plummet after a major and seemingly unexpected listing announcement. Instead, COTI's price multiplied over three weeks prior to listing and then inexplicably dumped right at listing.
