Dua hari lalu (15/2), Bappebti telah menyetujui Peraturan No 5/2019 tentang ketentuan teknis penyelenggaraan pasar fisik aset kripto di bursa berjangka. Lembaga sah seperti Bappebti dengan demikian memberikan kepastian hukum untuk bursa exchange crypto yang telah beroperasi di Indonesia.

Kebijakan baru ini dilaporkan merincikan serangkaian persyaratan sehubungan dengan cryptocurrency yang beredar di Indonesia. Secara khusus, cryptocurrency harus mematuhi risk assessment (penilaian resiko), anti pencucian uang dan memerangi persyaratan pendanaan terorisme.

Trading / Ethereum price speculation

Ethereum price is slowly gaining pace and it recently broke the USD 138 resistance. ETH/USD is up around 1.2% and it could continue to move higher towards the USD 140 and USD 142 resistance levels.
If buyers fail to gain strength above the USD 140 and USD 142 resistance levels,the price may be can be 150 USD or dive again towards the USD 130 support level in the near term.

Moving from the purposefully computationally expensive Proof of Work (PoW) model, also somewhat unaffectionately known as ‘proof of waste’ due to its high energy costs, to Proof of Stake (PoS) consensus protocol will make the Ethereum network faster and transactions cheaper.

South Korean crypto company Enjin Wallet has reportedly been appointed by Samsung to back a blockchain wallet in its new Galaxy S10 smartphone, anonymous sources told Asia Crypto Today on Monday, Feb. 25.

The anonymous interlocutors provided an image to the outlet that was purportedly posted by Tworld — Korea’s second largest telecom company. The screenshot shows the Enjin wallet being used in the Galaxy S10 for Ethereum (ETH) transactions. The image also features Enjin coin (ENJ) and Basic Attention Token (BAT) — an Ethereum-based token used in digital advertising.

According to sources familiar with the matter, the Enjin Wallet will be installed in the Galaxy S10, which is expected to be used by over 31 million users, Asia Crypto Today states. The wallet can reportedly be used to send and receive ERC-20 tokens and ERC-1155 crypto game assets.

Samsung is reportedly relying on decentralized technology in order to secure the distribution of data, manage and share content, and manage digital assets, including in-game ownership, and transactions, the publication notes.

Enjin is known for launching the ERC-1155 token — an asset class used to purchase and sell digital items in video games and establish digital ownership. The company’s wallet is now available on iOS and Android, supporting all ERC-20 and ERC-1155 tokens and allowing users to exchange digital assets.

Samsung introduced its new flagship Galaxy S10 on Feb. 20. The company revealed that the smartphone will have storage for private cryptocurrency keys, but a crypto wallet was not mentioned despite the previously denied multiple rumors regarding the phone’s possible configuration and support for cryptocurrency wallets and decentralized applications.

However, Heslin Kim, a cryptocurrency analyst from South Korea, later shared a video in his Twitter account, claiming it was a Galaxy S10 blockchain tutorial and providing instructions on using an integrated blockchain wallet. According to Kim, Samsung avoids mentioning the wallet in an attempt to “keep Apple on their toes.”

The information on the integrated blockchain wallet is also reportedly confirmed by Coindesk Korea, whose reporters have managed to allegedly test the smartphone in Samsung’s flagship D’light store in Korean capital Seoul.

By press time, neither Enjin nor Samsung has responded to Cointelegraph’s request for comment.

Scam Reports & Crypto Crime / Bitfinex’s Stolen Funds Partially Recovered and Returned by US Law Enforcement

The United States’ law enforcement recovered and returned over $104,000 stolen from the cryptocurrency exchange Bitfinex, according to a Medium post by the exchange published on Feb. 25.
The funds returned are reportedly just under 27.7 Bitcoins (BTC), which were stolen in August 2016 in a hack that involved the theft of around 120,000 BTC in total.

At the time, Bitfinex reportedly generalized the losses across all accounts and credited BFX tokens, one per every dollar lost, to those affected by the hack. These tokens could be redeemed for one dollar each or exchanged for the company’s stocks. The holders who chose to convert into stocks also received Recovery Right Token (RRT) tokens, while all BFX tokens were then destroyed.

Since some of the stolen coins have been received, Bitfinex notes that they are now reportedly being converted to U.S. dollars and paid to RTT holders.

According to the announcement, Bitfinex was first alerted that the U.S. government had obtained access to funds believed to be proceeds from the hack in November last year.

Since the beginning of 2019, the crypto community has already experienced at least one large-scale hack of an exchange.

As Cointelegraph reported at the end of January, two weeks after it first reported a hack, New Zealand-based cryptocurrency exchange Cryptopia was still compromised by cyber criminals who already liquidated $3.2 million in tokens obtained through the hack.

Also, in November last year, the recently reopened Japanese crypto exchange Coincheck, which had lost over $520 million in a hack in January 2018, announced it had resumed NEM (XEM) crypto token trading after a restructuring of its platform by

Tron, which presents itself as a competitor to Ethereum (ETH) for launching cryptocurrency tokens and other offerings, is preparing to increase its appeal to institutional users.

According to Sun, the hard fork will deliver institution-handling capabilities, as well as other features such as multi-signature abilities and account management options.

Tron’s TRX token appeared to react to the news when it surfaced last week, before a downturn in the price of Bitcoin (BTC) saw the altcoin also fall 9 percent in Monday trading.

Under Sun, the company has pursued an aggressive expansion program, which saw it acquire BitTorrent, the operator of popular torrent client uTorrent, last year.
