At one time I also had to take out a loan.
 I don't see what the big deal is if you're solvent and you're confident you can pay back what you borrowed.

Lets compare that to an often used probability: Getting struck by lightning.

You have a 1 in 15,300 probability to be struck by lightning during your lifetime. While the probability to be struck during any given single year is 1 in 1,222,000.

Meaning, you're way more likely to be struck by lightning during this year than win a million from megamillions, let alone the jackpot. And you're only slightly more likely to win 200 than you are to be struck by lightning during your lifetime.

Lotteries are so widespread and still around because, in the end, they're profitable for the organizer. (The house always wins.) There's a reason they're often described as a tax on the poor. You're lucky if you get your money back.
