Mining / [Discution] Mining or Masternode
« on: February 17, 2019, 06:07:12 PM »
at this time a lot of coins have only used masternode to make their blockchain network work, this is because of the reason to save on the costs that will be incurred.
But I see some coins with masternode prices are very weak.
Do you think it's better which coin and masternode are used in coins to make their blockchain network work?

Trading / 4 Things Traders Must Do To Be Successful
« on: January 26, 2019, 04:47:41 AM »
THESE 4 TRAITS WILL MAKE TRADERS SUCCESSFUL

If you have a passion for trading, Dr. Brett Steenbarger has some choice words for you: you're not going to make it. Instead, traders need to be passionate about markets. It may sound like a minor distinction, but it's not. In decades of working with billionaire hedge fund managers and traders, he's found that traders that are passionate about trading don't put in the work and trade too much.

To be successful trading, Dr. Steenbarger has learned:

1.   A rule of thumb for how traders should control losses so that they never lose more in a morning than they can make in an afternoon, more in a day than they can make in a week and more in a week than they can make in a month;

2.   Why traders should not just focus on minimizing their weaknesses, but also maximizing their strengths;

3.   A simple trading journal that will help you improve each day; and

4.   That the best traders are ones that embrace losses and use them to become better.

Crypto Discussion / Altcoin Nosedive vs. Market Dominance?
« on: January 25, 2019, 04:56:19 AM »
Ever since ETH started going up against the USD over the past week, most of my altcoins have been nosediving.

I've heard that sometimes this can happen because people want to exchange their altcoins for ETH, leaving the altcoins as 'collateral damage'.

Has anyone studied this negative correlation - i.e. ETH goes higher against USD, but altcoins drop against ETH?

How long does it usually last?

I've been actively trading only since March, so I haven't seen a lot of the price action that goes on.  I've only seen altcoins rally along with ETH.

Lately, I've erred on the side of being too heavily positioned in altcoins, so I'm debating whether to HODL or to just take profits on the little profits I have left.  LOL.

Is anyone else convinced altcoin dominance will go higher?

My feeling is BTC dominance has peaked and we can will see BTC dominance going lower towards 42% to 45%, which would mean that altcoins will rally against BTC - and hopefully ETH.

Crypto Discussion / Too many new Exchanges
« on: January 25, 2019, 04:55:25 AM »
Recently i was working on a project related to Altcoin listing on different exchanges. Strange i found out too many new exchanges and people are trading well over there. Don't you guys think there should be limited number of exchanges and regulated ones? (Many new exchanges are nicer too and competitive but there is always a trust issue there specially for new investors). Your thoughts

Crypto Discussion / Sec and ico promotion
« on: January 24, 2019, 04:32:00 AM »
What are people’s thoughts on sec coming out and saying they are going
to prosecute celebs and influencers for promoting icos.

How realistic is this?
What does this mean for bloggers and YouTubers who do a promotional  piece on an ico?
Does this mean bounties are dead? There must be 100os of people who continue to market.

Does it matter if the marketer is outside the USA.

Interested in getting people’s views

Crypto Discussion / "Decentralized" because market control is illegal
« on: January 24, 2019, 04:30:53 AM »
How can you believe in Proof of Stake (POF) more than in Proof of Work(POW)?
While POW is less effective in terms of costs, does Proof of Stake make
Ethereum "decentralized"?

With POF, the validators chosen are those with the highest number of coins
In other words, your decentralized, not controlled by a central authority
Ethereum Blockchain is now controlled by the BIG WHALES.
The first investors were in control of the Blockchain. They were
the guys rewarded most just because they had most.
Thanks all for falling into this "smart" scam.

General Discussion, Non Crypto Stuff / Democracy is dead.
« on: January 24, 2019, 04:30:05 AM »
A single ruling party exists at all levels of government. No checks, no balances.

This isn't democracy. This isn't what our founding fathered envisioned.

I'm done with America.

Trading / Exchanges and fake volume
« on: January 24, 2019, 04:28:36 AM »
This is really getting out of hand, Now every exchange that comes out of nowhere is faking their volume to show better liquidity in order to gain some users and the worst part is that it is getting quite common as if it's nothing serious happening here and now that market cap is plummeting it's getting worse and worse.

And i'm not talking about small amounts here, I'm talking about faking more than 95% percent of volume in almost every pair, The newer the exchange, the more bogus the volume.

An example to better understand the situation, You want to buy some tokens on said exchanges, the exchange shows the last trade on that specific pair was at 0.00001255 price and it was a sell , Let's say you put your buy order on orderbook on exactly that price so the order maybe can go through quicker, You wait for a while and you will notice that your order didn't get filled but at the same time you notice there are  same or lower bid prices than yours that are going through on trade history even tough these orders are nowhere to be seen on orderbooks before execution, Then you put a higher bid than that and again nothing will happen, This will continue until you decide to just take an existing sell order from the order book and get done with it.

It was just about two weeks ago that Upbit exchange got caught frauding trillions KRW on fake orders, Before this news this exchange claimed to have more than 90% of the total volume on a token(not going to mention the name for shilling reasons), It means this exchange stood higher in volume than other top exchanges that said token was listed on, They were simple minded enough to push their volume higher than old known exchanges by a huge difference.

The problem with all of this is mainly the trust issue that it causes, Cryptocurrencies are already struggling enough to adopt by consensus, Literally the first thing that someone wants to enter cryptocurrency trading or investing does is to buy from exchanges, And what happens if the first thing you encounter isn't something you would consider reliable and trustworthy ?

I noticed this evening that you can trade directly from within the tradingview interface.
I was wandering if people here recommend that, or trade on the official website of their desired exchange?

If you do trade from within tradingview, Is it complicated to get started / linked up? I see this is where brokerage companies come into it. Something I haven't heard much about.
cheers,

Crypto Discussion / Are you dreaming to launch your own coin?
« on: January 21, 2019, 05:25:35 AM »
Are you dreaming to launch your own coin and ICO?

How would your project look like? Which problems would be solved?
How would you call it and which abbrevation? (like Bitcoin (BTC))

Would you do a big Bounty and Airdrop to make your project famous?

I'm curious about your plans of creating a new ICO project and your own coin
