Title: How IEO Differs From ICO?
Post by: Steveaustineric on April 24, 2019, 02:34:43 PM
Fundraising Environment

In ICO, you need investor and admin dashboards to conduct the fundraising process. However, if you go with IEO, the fundraising takes place at the Exchange.

Screening
Exchanges will screen the projects and investors based on their parameters before launching on its platform reducing your cost of compliance.

Smart Contracts
You don’t need to manage smart contracts as you do in ICOs. The smart contracts are managed by the Exchange.

KYC/AML
KYC/AML services will be managed by the exchanges itself, thereby saving time, cost and resources involved in boarding investors.

nice comparison at the same time with the advertising of the site. IEO is really attractive to investors it makes them feel safe if the ieo will be conducted in a top 10 exchange, IEO is also good for the projects to make their sale hassle free win win for both

Sticking to the basics and avoiding unnecessary argument

Difference between an ieo from an ico is that
The exchange platform provides security to your participation in the token sale

Other. Than that; they are equal

Now many are using IEO services. Because surely the sales reach hardcap. There is no risk of failure in sale

exchanges do have to find a proper solutuon for the problem thatit is hard for the "normal" cryptocurrency user. Some ieo's are sold out in 10 secs to bots.

And yeah i would prefer IEO because it saves me the time to know if the coin is a fraud. When a too exchange is holding an IEO. The only thing i will pay attention to would be if the project will actually make it, any mvp, the roadmap. In order to invest.

The IEO is a new step for crypto investment now, when everyone is tired of waiting for an exchange list of coins they buy from the ICO project, with the IEO new investors don't need to worry about crypto exchanges.

IEO provides something new in crypto token sale. It presents a safer way for investors by listing directly their tokens on exchanges, so people buy the coins/tokens through exchanges. In my view, the difference is about the guarantee of listing place and the achievement of the success in the token sale step for a new project.

Yes it gives us the guarantee that the token we are buying are going to get listed right after the end of IEO and that is a good way for assurance. However, it was not really guaranteed that the project will continue developing their product.

However, IEO is not a proper solution. Who knows the buyers here? I mean most hyped can be bought by exchange itself while keeping people in the queue and saying "sold out" eventually. Just look at Celer Network's Binance IEO. They don't provide buyer list, right? It was clear inflation and manipulation of BNB.

IEO is not really different from ICO, IEO is just ICO+getting listed and that is all, IEO will have its hype and will just be a normal thing like ICO, in my opinion, the real deal is in STO and that is the only option that will bring real investors in the game again.

If the exchanges plan and works with projects to list a not strong enough project, then investors can lose their money because it won’t different from normal ICO

This is interesting for cryptocurrency exchanges because they have to force their users and other people interested in the new token to buy the cryptocurrency exchange's token to be able to buy the new coin.

An IEO is still technically a form of ICO. But the main difference is where coin or token is offered.

Yes ICO and IEO are same thing and serves the same purpose, to raise more funds and to spread awareness to the community but the reason why investors choose IEO over ICO is that the have assurance that the token will be listed right after it ends.

Though many feel comfortable with IEO because they feel exchanges will make sure that the project is worth investing before conducting the IEO but on the other hand i feel  it might not be different from ICO after all because both have got a lot of risk.

I guess now ICO ( Initial Coin Offering)  is less preferred. Initial Exchange Offering (IEO) was introduced. The AZ Fundchain project also decided to make IEO.
