Title: Your greatest trading regret?
Post by: katemi on January 17, 2019, 10:56:42 AM
I invested into some coins this January and my hope was cryptcoins are going to increase in price this year but the reverse is the case.
I can still remember some coins that I bought around $24 and $25 dollars in January and I am still holding them. Currently those coins are less than 2 dollars respectly. I doubt if I will be able to be patient until price get back to were I bought them and I do seriously regret bought those coins at the wrong time.

I feel sorry that I bought BTC in January in 2018. Now its price is so unstable and so low that I doubt it will recover, and my funds won't be in the red.

You are lying. You did not invest anything, you simply copied someone else's post. I cannot believe the forum admins/ moderators is allowing you to do such cheap plagiarism

indeed investment in crypto is not profitable, but with patience holding many assets in a long time, surely we will get a big profit.

You buy at 24$ and now it is 2$ sorry , but holding this coin from that high price and now when it is worthless you want to sell, this is not good idea.

instead you can change horse , try to look at some cheep coins and divide your capital in 10 coins, Coz not all coins pump at once, so the coin pump you sell and come back to others to buy.

The real regret is when you are down big in a coin and you decide to sell and couple weeks later this coin shoot for stars, my advice is that if you are really down big in a coin then do not sell and keep holding because the damage already happens and by selling you are just confirming it I think you only option is to keep holding and wait for a pump to get out.

i regret buying ans (neo ) at 1 dollar, then selling when it hit 2 dollars, then rebuying when it hit 1.50, then not selling when it hit 200 dollars, then holding it the way back down to 10 dollars now.

You are right, because by holding existing assets, we will be able to return our initial capital, what if we add assets by buying at a low price, it will be very profitable

I think holding investment in bitcoin this year also has many advantages by waiting for the increase in bitcoin prices in the near future, because now the development of bitcoin prices and market prices are also starting to grow.

I am interested in opportunities to profit from short-term speculation. If I understand correctly that a large leverage during trading increases not only risks but also potential profits.

I think, a lot of people had such situations when they lost large sums at stock. But as for me, my largest trading regret was that I didn't use special software (https://3commas.io/) when I started to clarify the cryptocurrency question for me. It seems, that a lot of companies can provide it, but I didn't understand earlier the importance and effectiveness of it.

I don’t regret too much but I do feel that one of the biggest mistakes of my trading life was to work with Nova FX, as because of them I lost. I joined them randomly without checking regulation and end up losing. But at that time I was just starting up. Now I am settled and making good profits.

I have never regretted the sales that have ever existed, because to me after I sold the tokens that I sold was my income and I never looked back to see the tokens I had sold

I personally don't make short-term trades much. I usually end up holding something for weeks if not months before I see some real gains. My biggest regret was passing over BTMX in November when price was just 1.35 cents; now, it's up 10x and it's ATH gain would have delivered 20x+ gain.

My biggest regret of 2019 so far.

However, there's plenty of other coins I'm looking at.
I bought some VEIL at 26 cents and now it's touching 31 cents. It's still at < $5M mcap so I expect some good potential here. I'm mainly interested in it because it's one of the few deeply technological ventures that is focused on privacy coins.

Nowadays, big investors are small before, only enthusiasm, determination and great will that make them big, with patience and the belief that the hold and wait for our assets will gradually become big and big profits will be in sight.

Regret comes when you sell assets that you have with panic.
When you want to invest you should see a market that will be a product of coins that you have.
if at this time you are experiencing a loss because of choosing the wrong coin I think you can sell it when the price actually recovers and approaches the initial price when you buy it.

I think a lot of people regret not buying coins that were cheap and instead bought coins that had already had huge pumps. My biggest regret of 2018 was just looking at the top 100 coins. I know most people don't even look past top 10.

Now, I try to monitor CoinMarketCap or CoinGecko to mainly look at big movers. Lots of small coins that have potential get noticed early on and make big moves. I try to look into these. If they moved just because the volume is $100, then I move on. If they have a good volume and are making something that could have real demand, I check it out.

Right now, I'm look at VEIL, a new privacy coin.

The coin is doing really well even though it's not on a big exchange. The driving force is that it has a good development team that's trying to solve a real problem in current privacy coins. They are making private transactions more scalable and faster by advancing Zerocoin Protocol.

Recently, crypto hasn't been stabled due to the bear season. The new of dgtx fixtures was another lost to some traders. However i can say Veil is stable, from 22cent it's 33cents now which is going to well with time .

I have coin and that coin price at first I see is 10 dollar , and I think this price will going up again later but something bad happened later.. this coin price is going dumped , from 10 dollar to 3-4 dollar
Cause of this coin price dumped is any bad news , and I think some "whale" who hold this coin is panic and then sell all directly on exchange that time

too late to sell when high and trembling easily when hits low that's such a thing that I could not resist simply because I dont have friggin clue. However learning from the past then I only choose promising coin like veil which have good and promising future as it seems.
See their market on their listed exchange they are growing quite rapidly and so many people are also talking about it, I think that this coin could be a reliable coin for me so I want to try it out

The driving force is that it has a good development team that's trying to solve a real problem in current privacy coins. They are making private transactions more scalable and faster by advancing Zerocoin Protocol. And you can staking on your pc so easy earn to Veil.

I think one of the greatest regret in trading is placing order wrongly buying at high cost Price thinking that the coins price we two times high than the purchased price without knowing that the coins goes below the original price this can cause big regret

I think in cryptosystem and trading it about having a good entry point in buying a coin and having a good knowledge about the project. In February this year I bought evx  token at 0.14$ there about within a month it did more than ×8 and presently it @ 0.8$ tho I sold already. There are tokens that you should buy at a very good entry point like VEIL now I bought veil 0.24$ and it presently @ 0.27$ still holding it cos veil has the potential of doing well in the market.

Yes, waiting is a very right decision, seeing the current prices have begun to crawl up, I hope this will continue

lol... You just opened a healed wound. Well, my biggest regret is buying bitcoin @19000... I invested over 1k$ right now, my 1k$ is below 200$ I just can't stop weeping inside. But recently, I've got some big gainers that covered over half of my losses. For instance, past few weeks, I invested 200$ in Veil coin. This Coin rose from 0.1-0.5$ or so. I was amazed with what I cashed out. Still enjoying the smooth ride. Well, in crypto, we should know that we can't always win. Most importantly is doing our homeworks well and investing at the right time.

No real regrets for me at all. As I feel that when you regret, it just creates unnecessary situations. So, I work with very much freedom. However, I do remember my bad experience with brokers like Instaforex. However, I have learned to learn from it to be better with working.

In my opinion, do not look at how many coins we have, but how much we get in trading. Because that's what we want and we learn about the experience

Greatest trading regret is the investment I made in crypto all went down. Until I found MyCryptoParadise they helped me in crypto trading and recover my loss in trading with their signals and analysis.
