In just a few weeks from now this February the first and potentially “last buyback” of fledgling cryptocurrency OBITS is expected to occur, whereby an anticipated dividend option will be possible to exercise on the world’s first decentralized financial trading platform, the de facto BitShares 2.0 platform OpenLedger. But with an imminent fiat gateway development around the corner things are poised for a further step up.

Market maker and cryptocurrency OBITS is celebrating the end of its crowdsale with its first buyback, a dividend option and a new fiat gateway on FinTech DEX OpenLedger.
New cryptocurrency OBITS has made waves in the ecosystem by raising more than 700 BTC in its public crowdsale, equivalent to $270,000 – all of which is earmarked for development costs. Now moving into its second phase, the first buyback will take place on 2 February 2016, and future profits will be used for market-making and to add value to the end users of the OpenLedger platform. Users will also be able to vote on a dividend option, meaning this may be the last buyback ever.

OBITS and DEX
OBITS gains its value from a growing number of revenue streams hosted on decentralised exchange (DEX) OpenLedger. CCEDK (https://www.ccedk.com), the Danish registrar for OpenLedger, is continually adding more projects to the list, progressively increasing income. CEO Ronny Boesing comments, ‘OBITS as a currency and a market maker is really making waves. We have come to the conclusion that the best possible value of OBITS is based on putting a HOLD on selling any remaining supply from our side, starting from the time of first buyback. The countdown starts on Monday January 18th, on the OBITS (http://obits.io) website.
‘In future we will only offer a limited amount of the remaining OBITS for sale, based on the introduction of a new project, always adding new value to the overall portfolio OBITS represents. We believe that the first and possibly only buyback, which will take place early in February, will confirm OBITS holders in their belief that OBITS is a currency with great potential.’ The first new project is expected in the middle of February, at which point a proportion of the remaining OBITS will be sold.
Dividend option with ShareBits?
Underlining the breadth of marketing from the CCEDK home base, a special pre-buyback was carried out on January 16th using one of the future profit generators of OBITS (http://obits.io): a tool called ShareBits (http://www.sharebits.io). This unique sharebot mechanism conducted an instant share drop to all OBITS holders, distributing 2 bitcoins (BTC) in the form of the User Issued Asset (UIA) OPENBTC. This amount of OPENBTC was spread across some 335 holders as found on BTS block explorer cryptofresh (http://cryptofresh.com/a/OBITS). Any of the recipients could then trade the asset on the market of their choice, keep it on account or withdraw it to their BTC wallet.
Fiat gateway, new features
Illustrating the constant innovation that underpins OBITS, a new fiat exchange will launch on Wednesday 20th January. ‘It will be possible to transfer any one of more than 15 fiat currencies to be converted into USD, EUR and CNY, upon receipt,’ says Boesing. ‘These are directly deposited to the user’s OpenLedger account according to AML/KYC procedures. These fiat currencies will then appear on their account as their equivalents: OPEN.USD, OPEN.EUR, and OPEN.EUR.
‘It will be the first time users have ever been able to deposit fiat via a gateway directly to a decentralised exchange and its equivalent fiat asset. On top of this, you immediately have the option to exchange your fiat to the official currency of the platform – namely BitShares – and use this to buy pegged assets like gold, silver, Bitcoin, Litecoin, and so on. This list will increase month by month, and deposit is absolutely free, meaning there is truly a 1:1 correspondence between EUR and OPEN.EUR. In the coming months and potentially even in February new gateways will be added, hopefully including the Debit Card NanoCard, PayPal and Ripple.’

When will be the next time for OBITS sale on site will be announced in connection with any future projects adding new value to OBITS and to OpenLedger.

It seems the OPENBTC market is not added with any buy orders, so theere is still an option here, other wise this 10% will be added to next time we do buyback.

Below I show you the actions and outcome of each buyback, and look forward to the ongoing growth of OpenLedger, OBITS and its connected projects for future benefit to all OpenLedger users.
Today we have done the first buyback of OBITS with an amount of 1.478 mill BTS or the equivalent of 13 BTC. It was split in two 90% to be used in the OBITS_BTS market, and 10% to be used in OBITS_OPENBTC market.
1,440,386 BTS of the total 1.478.000 is based on the revenues from the basic fees as per mentioned link http://cryptofresh.com/fees and remaining 38.000 is fees achived mainly from vested cashbacks on openledger, open.bits, qbits and obits account.

OpenLedger / CCEDK burn 0.28% of the OBITS in existence

This month have shown that revenues from the various OPEN assets are still not strong enough to provide an increasing value on its own and without any added revenue from an ongoing ICO. The positive is however, that this added revenue will begin from Oct.3rd with the ICOO doing its first distribution. It is expected that ICOO will do this on the base of minimum 50 BTC, so already here there will be a good amount entering as 20% of designated revenues will be used for the payment of monthly dividends / or as buyback of OBITS and consequently burned.

Due to lots of requests from OBITS (http://OBITS) holders connected with the way the monthly share of revenues on OpenLedger (http://OpenLedger) and the potential of sharedropping of OBITS (a sort of dividend structure) is to be handled in future, we decided to offer all holders the option to vote and to find out: to cancel or not cancel the monthly buybacks & burn. OBITS holders are given the rights to decide what is the best way for OBITS.
You are to decide: are we going to use sharedropping (dividends style) (in this way all OBITS holders will receive a monthly payment in the form of sharedropping OBITS to your account), or not? Or are we going to use a combination of the two, meaning sharedropping and buyback/burn?
The present monthly buybacks&burns will be cancelled if we get more than 50% positive answers to our initiative.

New OBITS Voting initiative has begun. You are invited!

Dear OBITS Holder,
As we have some questions with previous voting initiative we decided to make more detailed description of options among which you are suggested to choose from.
Lets begin with general example. If OpenLedger monthly profits equal to 5,000,000 BTS, the usual 90% of profits in BTS and 10% in BTC equivalent are used.
The first option: buyback&burn. Nothing will change. Buyback and burn will be held every month as we did it before. OBITS will be bought for the amount of 4,500,000 BTS and BTC (bought for 500,000 BTS on the market). All bought back OBITS will be burned.
The second option: sharedropping. OpenLedger DC overall profits will be sharedropped among OBITS holders. We use the same numbers from example. If somebody owns 10% of all OBITS he will get 450,000 BTS and sum of BTC equal to 50,000 BTS (sum depends on market price).
The third option: 50% buyback&burn, 50% sharedropping. In terms of our example 2,250,000 BTS and BTC equal to 250,000 BTS will be used for buyback&burn, and the same sum will be used for sharedropping.
OBITS holders are given the rights to decide what is the best way for OBITS. New voting initiative has already begun.
NB: Please note that as long as 70% of OBITS is not publicly available, the OBITS on the issuer accounts obits and ccedkbts will not be considered as part of any potential sharedropping, meaning only the amount also listed on Coinmarketcap as available supply will be taken into consideration at all times.

The limited amount is released in increments of 500 000 OBITS.WARRANT's, and only offered directly to interested party on the base of request or to anyone already on the list of subscribers of ours or holders.
Anyone believing OBITS will become worth more than 0,26 BitUSD in 2017 is able to benefit from this offer as you pay only the price of 0,16 BitUSD for every OBITS you buy with 1 OBITS.WARRANT even if price is 0,5 or even one bitUSD any given time during 2017. (Your cost 0,10 + 0,16 bitUSD=0,26 bitUSD)

Voting options on OBITS will start on the first week of July, giving voters the choice of sharedrop, buyback or a 50% mix of sharedrop and buyback.

451190 OBITS at 13.51 end price was sold in this July buyback amounting to a total of 5.864.799 BTS of which 10% approx 50 BTC was used in the btc market. This amount will now be burned as well. At today's price this is 1 280 071 USD value. One more reason why I will ask for a vote to change buyback to be in bitusd only. The recent drop in bts value did not allow us to make the maximum out of this buyback. IT could have been around 2 million USD value if I had not needed to change to bts. Based on my using of the borrowing option I do have some extra bts still sitting on obits account, and this amount will be used to buy back OBITS throughout the month of JULY, provided price will rise in this time, so a small added support of another 986 000 bts used as collateral is still on account. It was not needed to comply with what I change in value on June 25th after the auction.
