Pi (currency code NUMUS) is a currency created on the NXT Monetary System platform.
It was specifically created to be an integral part of PICISI.com's business operations.

PICISI (Philanthropic Investments and Charity for Investments, Startups, and Ideas)
is a crowdfunding site 
Pi is the abbreviation of the acronym.


Pi (currency code NUMUS) has 3 specific purposes:
to raise startup funds,
to use in the day-to-day operations of PICISI,
and
to use to finance the costs of operational licences worldwide.


Fiat funds earned by PICISI will be used to rebuy (like recycling with added value) the currency on the open market. 
Our rebuy plan strengthens the currency and should produce a stabilizing effect on the currency.

PICISI.com is a crowdfunding site, we recently launched the PICISI issued currency (code NUMUS).

The PICISI mantra is 'Promotion, Promotion, Promotion' our job is to promote the site, our sponsors, and campaigns at the site.  Promotion Contractors are self-employed individuals from all around the world who satisfactorily perform PICISI assignments and are paid with Pi.  They are mainly writers, but also video producers, graphic artist, social media experts, etc ... the assignments vary widely from writing articles, producing video, social media outreach, etc ...;  To register to be a Promotion Contractor simply send us a request any way you wish, we respond in minutes to hours not days. .

Generally there are two types of PICISI assignments: staple assignments and reserve assignment.  Staple assignment can be done without notice once the contractor is comfortable with our process.  Reserve assignments are set aside for specific individuals due to limitations about the assignment.

The normal protocol is for the contractor to tell PICISI what assignment s/he wants to do, upon PICISI acknowledgement the contractor does the assignment, upon completion of the assignment the contractor will request inspection, upon PICISI satisfaction the contractor is immediately paid according to the terms of the contract.

In order to better appreciate the varying strengths of the PICISI community we have identified 3 specific levels of support: 

Sponsors are individuals or entities that pay a fee to meaningfully engage with PICISI for a set period of time.  For CCs engagement is expected to be sponsorship of crowdfunding campaigns, but it could also be in other measurable ways involving social media and/or Pi investment.

Advertisers simply pay for specific promotions; they may but are not required to engage the site in any other way.

Endorsers are those who support the PICISI vision and have permit the fact to be publicly known; they may but are not expected to engage the site in any other way.

PICISI.com recently graduated from alpha testing, it is now in beta testing. We didn't have many campaigns to test during alpha we want more test campaigns to work on during beta. If you have a business, you can use our site to advertise your business while at the same time allow us to test our site and process. Here is how it will work:

1) think of a clever campaign about your product or service,
2) create the test campaign listing, please place the word "TEST" in the heading, and "test campaign" at the beginning of the description.
and
3) complete the listing with or without funding info.  If you include funding info we will be able to make test payments to your campaign,  If you don't include funding info we will not be able to make test payments to your campaign.   Campaigns with payments always get more attention from site visitors than those without.

1 in 10 test campaigns will be rejected, if your campaign is rejected please don't be offended it is part of our test, simply contact us about it and we approve it.  We will consult with each campaign organizer to help them fashion a more appealing campaign.  We will also provide some publicity to all campaigns, the better your campaign is the more we will promote it.  You are also permitted to list multiple campaigns if each is materially different than the rest.

7 KEYS TO PICKING A SOLID CRYPTOCURRENCY

The internet age has birthed a number of new business sectors that are changing how business is done internationally, one of those sectors is Crowdfunding and another is Cryptocurrency (CC).

There are nearly 3000 different CCs to choose from the biggest and most popular is bitcoin, but are there other great opportunities to find? The answer is yes, if you search and research carefully.
 
Here are 7 keys to picking a solid cryptocurrency:
 
1) Creator’s Vision – every CC creator has a plan, most of the time the plan is focused around high technology, and/or sophisticated features. It is recommended that you know the CC creator’s vision for the CC even if the developer is no longer personally available. A supportive community should be able to articulate a clear vision for the currency.
 
PICISI (Pi) has a well articulated vision for their CC. Pi will be used more as a currency than a commodity. As a currency Pi will be used a) as a means of exchange between Promotion Contractors and PICISIc.com (the company); b) to raise start-up funds and to procure multiple operational licenses; c) as a host CC option for Campaign Organizers at PICISI.com; and d) as a payment alternative for PICISI.com sponsors.  A major aspect of PICISI’s vision is the plan to “rebuy” Pi on the open market.
 
2) Integrity – decentralization in the CC industry essentially means: ‘no central point of responsible’ however to some it means: ‘many are independently willing to accept responsibility’. Responsive, accountable, and transparent are character traits often used to describe good caretakers of a currency.
 
Although Pi is technically a decentralized currency because it is built on a decentralized platform, it should be viewed as a hybrid since a large amount of the currency will often be controlled by PICISI.com.
 
3) Community – all of the people directly involved with a CC including: the creator, administrators, investors, supporters, anyone that uses the CC, watchers/trackers/followers of the CC, regular contractors for the CC, including the uninvolved supporters (endorsers) of the CC should be considered part of the CC’s community.
 
Some good sign of a healthy community is daily interaction, regular update of meaningful content, some form of leadership, a healthy mix of membership tenure, respectful interactions, and a growing membership.
 
PICISI had a protracted prelaunch but over the 8 months prior to launch they built an impressive community size of just under 1000 members. September 21, the site went live, it is now in beta  testing -- real / live campaigns.
 
4) Structure & Security – in the CC universe centralization is a bad word, however whenever a major upgrade is needed or the market rate for the CC takes a disappointing turn investors are always looking for someone to “handle it”. Foundations, elected leaders, and/or individuals who ‘step-up’ to assume leadership roles are stabilizing forces for a currency.
 
At every point in the development of a currency security is vital, safety enables a currency to be able to grow into a strong currency.
 
Pi’s security is built into the security of NXT and NXT’s Monetary System; that association is also what technically qualifies the CC to be considered a decentralized currency.
 
5) Purpose & Productive Performance – a CC should have a well articulated purpose, after the code is written, community gathered, and allocations made.  At some point a currency must perform as a currency otherwise it is a commodity, or worse a space holder. Productive performance means it has an articulated purpose and is visible, recognized, and woven into the culture.
 
Pi’s purpose is articulated in the developer’s vision, the currency was created to be used mainly as a currency for multiple purposes, chief among them as a means to pay global Promotion Contractors for providing services to tell the world about PICISI.
 
6) Utility – Utility often refers to a currency’s usage.  Between ‘purpose’ and ‘performance’ is ‘adoption’, adoption of a currency often refers to merchant acceptance or willingness to accept a currency.
 
Many times CCs create for themselves a niche market eg: HYPER focuses on the gaming industry, and EMC2 focuses on the science research industry.
 
PICISI has chosen to limit the market size substantially by tying Pi to PICISI.com. The currency was built to serve the business needs of PICISI.com.   Although it will likely expand far beyond it’s original plans.

7) Meaningful Drive – is marketing and outreach that enable you to provide your target audience with additional perspective or detail. This is in contrast to irresponsible hyperbole or rhetoric.
 
Cryptocurrency is a complex subject, those who are responsible for promoting a currency should be willing to explain every detail to you in terms that you understand.

Can The PICISI Currency Go From $1 To $700?


The PICISI issued currency (aka Pi) was introduced to the public at a meager equivalence of $1 p/Pi  at the end of August, since then it has been listed at approx $5 p/Pi. 

Yesterday someone listed Pi at a whopping equiv of $700 p/Pi.  At first this may seem silly however according to the PICISI rebuy plan: 'fiat funds earned by PICISI will be used to buy Pi at prevailing rates'.   That means once the lower cost Pi is purchased the higher priced Pi is next in line.

The first live PICISI crowdfunding campaign kicks off on Monday so it will be a while before PICISI earns fiat, but this will be interesting to see how this turns out once fiat funds start rolling in.

Sorry to report that we had to request a refund, it seems Bitcoin Rush would rather believe PICISI.NET, a guy that has done nothing for Bitcoin Rush, and only lied to him; than us (PICISI.com) who has done a lot for Bitcoin Rush and has paid in advance for sponsorship of his project.

For 9 months the cryptocurrency community was able to see (all of which is still documented) the very conception of the idea of PICISI come to life and develop to the design of PICISI, then to the project of PICISI, then to the start of the community of PICISI, to the company of PICISI, to the currency of PICISI, and now to the website of PICISI.   NO other entity to my knowledge was so visible to a community, not just from birth but from CONCEPTION.

If PICISI.com has proven themselves to be honorable and trustworthy, but you want to believe PICISI.NET who has proven absolutely nothing of substantive truth demand proof for their claims, demand accountability. They lie to you to prevent you from doing business with us ask them why?  Get to the bottom line about why they want to harm PICISI.com.

Recently PICISI.com was asked to quote a sponsorship rate in the local currency of the sponsor. 

That was when it was noticed that the intended sponsor was also a Promotion Contractor who did work for PICISI.com months ago, after the currency was issued but before it was released -- he earned it but didn't receive it.

At that time the currency was monetarily worthless, however it was expected that the currency would be worth $1.  On the day of distribution it sold at the predicted value.  Since then the currency experienced a spike to $5.  If you look at the volume  https://nxtportal.org/currencies/1350076970661039300it isn't much to write home about but a sale is a sale.

All of the numbers are small but the resulting impact is what made this blog entry worth writing about.   When the contractor initially did the assignment he was doing it more to support the project than anything else; he  earned 60 Pi for it.  Months after it was earned, on distribution day, it was worth $60  however he was one of two who didn't request a distribution of earnings so it remained banked. 
Two days ago, Pi went up to $5, resulting in his 60 Pi going from a value of $60 to a value of $300.  Here's the amusing part of the anecdote, sponsorship cost $100 for 6 mos, the additional ad package cost $200 but when paid with Pi instead of any other currency it triggers a discount, so instead of expecting to pay for sponsorship and more for advertising, the work he did months ago combined with market forces resulted in him being able to secure the full deal and have 2 Pi remaining.

Moral of the story support those who you believe in, and find value in good ideas.
