ABOUT JANUS
The Janus project is about creating platforms which target carefully selected markets and leverage the social fabric of the internet to attract audiences and capture market share.
In order to prepare for the implementation of our ideas, we have developed a technology platform based on a well-known micro-framework which we will use as a base for our development activities. By leveraging an existing micro-framework, we will build our software on a modern, continuously developed platform which is designed for security, flexibility and high performance which will allow us to focus on implementing our projects and not have to spend resources on basic infrastructure code. For some projects, we already have functional modules to which we own the copyright and which are currently implemented on live customer sites.
We have chosen Nxt (https://www.jelurida.com/) for the technology it provides, it's known stability and it's technological roadmap. When the Ardor platform (https://www.ardorplatform.org/) launches, all your tokens will be migrated to it on launch.
Ardor is positioning itself in a very good light for the future and business/technological use. Especially with all the cracks being found on other platforms, it's not absurd by any means to foresee a migration to Ardor after a successful launch and code observation.

It has been brought to our attention (mostly through our slack channels) that some people
1) Have been dissatisfied with the information we have initially supplied
2) Have been dissatisfied with the answers we have given in response to questions asked
3) The our whitepaper is basically a fancy version of corporate bullshit-bingo
We have put a great deal of work into the information we provided and thought it was clear and self-explanatory, but this is obviously not the case. My best guess is that this is due to what I call 'information blindness' which basically means that as the author of a piece of work you assume that things are clear when in realty they are not because you are immersed in the context in which it was written. On top of this, after you read your own work a few times, you become 'blind' to it's flaws and weaknesses and are unable to identify such weaknesses.
As for #3 (the corporate bullshit bingo), I may be to blame for that; I guess that working in a corporate environment for 25 years has left it's impact on my manner of communication.
Be that as it may, we have always said that we will honor and value any feedback we will get, especially if it helps us improve our message. As such, we will address all the points which have been flagged as unclear, missing, etc. and come back with a detailed reply which we hope will clarify our plans and intentions. However, due to Thanksgiving being around the corner, we ask for your patience & understanding for the fact that we have family matters to attend to (that is, if we don't want our wives to strangle us in our sleep) and will return with new/updated info next week.
We have also been told that people would appreciate concise (ie: short) answers and we will try to heed this advice, but it is my belief that when discussing things such as business strategy giving a 1 sentence reply would not capture much of the information we wish to convey. We'll try to be to the point though.
In the meantime, if you have additional questions you would like answered, please post them here and we'll take them into account.

Some people completely understand what the Janus project will accomplish and some need more clarification. No worries we are working on clarification and this week it should resolve the issues we had at sale launch.
We have discussed the past 2 weeks multiple scenarios and in order to maintain staffing budgets for new hires and development there is a need for a higher launch threshold. It's simply not worth making promises to any investor if this sale is underfunded. Therefor, Janus will not be available as a public investment unless it reaches a minimum of 3500 btc. Anything under that will be refunded by the foundation escrow.
After the new interviews are released and the info documents come out (this week) then all business plan information we feel comfortable releasing will be out. Overview of March 4th-July 3rd, 2017 Janus token distribution:

Thank you first of all, to the Janus community, for their input and help with the creation of this plan. Without them, we would not have reached a consensus and the strong economic
model described below. This strategy will be live starting March 4th, 2017- July 3rd, 2017 until the next distribution set for July 4th, 2017.
Janus (JNS) tokens will be set on two exchanges at 3 NXT per token:
1.5 million Janus on the NXT asset exchange, 500k on C-cex.com exchange to give a BTC/JNS option for purchase.
Large Janus purchase options will now be available at slightly reduced prices.
Option A: Four million JNS tokens will be set aside allowing for the ability of two people to reach the 2 million token requirement for tier 1 dividends
(JanusXT). The rate per token is set as follows: 2.25 NXT per JNS a 25% savings from market price.
BTC or Ardor payment options also accepted, contact us for current market price.
Option B: For those wishing to make a large investment into Janus but are not able to go for XT status, there is a smaller package offer. We are offering 2
allotments of 1 million Janus each at a rate of 2.75 NXT per Janus or a savings of 8.33% off the market offer price.

For the large buy-in options there are a total of 6 million Janus tokens being offered in bulk purchase: 2/2 million and 2/1 million options.

Support of MyNxt
Since late last year, we have been working with VanBreuk to solve the issues that MyNxt (https://www.mynxt.info) has experienced, largely due to the lead developer of the project leaving in the past few months. The situation had become too problematic and the Foundation needed to step in. However, while we are able to help to some extent, the lack of having a PHP developer has hindered the project. Thankfully, the issue is now being addressed with the help of Lobos, a PHP developer from Janus (https://www.janustoken.com). The Janus team has generously agreed to loan Lobos out to us to fix the current issues as part of their donation to the Foundation. Further changes and improvements to MyNxt will be planned now that MyNxt once again has access to a developer.

Quick update, due to a business trip on month end our team will be sending April NXT dividends on March 28th versus April 1st. We had the option to send profit sharing this month either 5 days late or a few days early. I made the choice to go early so investors and traders could capitalize on the bull trend of NXT right now.

Our lead developer assures me we should have the social trading/fintech and then 3-4 other sites completed and launched by year end. One will be a Blockchain related site the rest focused on mainstream users. The fact most of our income will be outside crypto shouldn't be a deterrent, more users equals more revenue potential and money flow back to the team and Janus token users.
It should be noted after this second distribution gets sold we may not need another round of funding. This means those getting in now to our project may be entering at the last fixed price per token. After that it's up to markets to decide the direction of per token value.

Hello everyone, within the team we have reached a decision on the final numbers for Janus tokens after this current and last distribution is sold out. This was something we have intended to occur and will set a fixed amount for those who participate in our project and avoid massive inflation of the profit sharing we have all come to enjoy.
After the tokens from C-Cex exchange: https://c-cex.com/?p=jns-btc and the NXT AE: https://mynxt.info/asset/4348103880042995903 are sold.
We will reduce total Janus in existence to 25,201,489 JNS
5 Million of that will be kept on the main Janus account (they receive none of the dividends, therefor do not detract)
2.5 million for our teams holdings, 2.5 million for community efforts/bounties in the future and the like, 2 million will go to the final JanusXT holders when they come to us.
This leaves 16,201,489 in circulation, assuming none of the JanusXT holders leave the project.
Thank you to everyone, from our team for the project support, we will do our utmost to continually deliver our work in a positive and meaningful manner for the years ahead.

Just a quick update the next 4-5 days our team will be testing the new site as we gear up for delivering it for the Ethereum classic community launch day. Keep in mind what we said in slack regarding the launch bonus for both you (JNS holders) and their community. We will be verifying your slack names to the onsite accounts to try and cut down on what can sometimes become problematic with those who create multiple accounts on site.
The site has a social aspect to it, I can't force you all to be friends but try to meet new people and make good connections. It may help bridge some things between our community and theirs. The past 2+ months I've had contact with ETC I found them to be a really good group of some solid men and women, I see it as opportunity. If this site is well received we will discuss with their 2 development teams some further work using smart contracts for our company in the months after we launch the mainstream site (social fintech/forex trading).

Hello, quick update for everyone regarding the new ETC business launch.
We are very close to finishing, however developers need a bit more time to ensure Ethereum Classic wallet security is on par with our standards, as well as, testing multiple areas of the site and correcting issues we are finding. This could lead to a small delay for launch. We have several sites on the horizon, if we must push the launch back it will not be much longer than a week or two. It's still possible to deliver this business this month, however in preparation for an early May launch we wanted to be sure everyone was aware. Rest assured, our team is working 70-80+ hours per week to ensure a positive impact for the ETC community and Janus community on our project.

Janus Projects Elaboration
It has been brought to our attention that our whitepaper does not supply enough detail for potential investors to evaluate our plans. This detailed post is an attempt to provide such information so that investors can gain a more thorough understanding of our plans and thus better judge our ideas.
We have been asked to be brief and not bury our readers under walls of text, so for the sake of brevity and clarity, this update will (for now) focus on the primary two projects we intended to give priority: Content Management and Social Fintech.
Content Management
Content Management systems allow non-technical users to publish content on the web. There are lots of generic content management systems freely available, but when you look for content management systems which are application-specific, there are quite a few market niches where there are few competitors and where the market situation is favorable. For the purpose of this document, we will focus on two areas:
Realty: Realty (ie: the buying, selling and renting of real estate) in all its forms is a huge market which by definition is decentralized (ie: if you are looking for an apartment in New York, you don’t really care what the market offers in Los Angeles). It is this geographical separation, together with the involvement of local real estate agents, which makes this market an attractive one. Our strategy for realty is twofold:
Sell software to realtors: Market analysis shows that there are approximately 400.000 realty agents in the US and the EU. In a market of this size, you don’t need huge penetration numbers in order to be able to sell your product profitably. We have a basic version of a realty software package in place and will be porting it to our new technology platform. Once that process is completed, we will be using our industry contacts to analyze and expand the functional coverage of the product in order to arrive at a package which is explicitly aimed at realtors and their typical workflow requirements.
Build focussed websites: Realty, like anything else is changing with new niches appearing every few years. We believe that by focussing on such niches, we can build an appealing service which lends itself to monetization. If we manage to gain traction in such niches, this would pave the way to expand into more mainstream areas which in turn offer even more revenue and profit potential.
We believe that by combining these two approaches, we can target a market which is generally resistant to centralization (and thus domination by a single party) and offers ample opportunity to build a profitable business.
Automotive: Automotive is another market which is heavily decentralized and has many small/local players in each community. Generally speaking, many automotive companies, especially the smaller/local players) are using very little in terms of automatization which again makes this market an attractive market to target. Our strategy here is to build a software suite targeted at the workflow needs of typical smaller automotive firms and push this into the market.
Social Fintech/Trading
We plan to build a site and platform that allows experienced forex traders to set up account profiles. These traders will have their own private ‘rooms’ that will allow them to connect people to their trades, charts, and calls all in one place. Private chat will be enabled, and each follower who signs up to them will gain access only by paying a monthly subscription fee. The day traders will no longer need to worry about collecting payments from each member as our site will handle this and take a small percentage fee.
We will offer people numerous methods to expand their following, full social media integration and privacy that can only be unlocked through subscription. Advanced traders will have a link that directs their social media followers to our site and their private rooms. This will enable our team and users to promote user acquisition on a very large scale. Traders will be inputting their TA/charts and market indicators to predict where they think the markets are moving, paid subscribers will have access. Traders will be scored using an automated process based on the success of their calls, and potential followers will be able to see these scores and current followers recommendations prior to signing up for each signal callers private rooms.
Our team has some experience in the development of forex trading bots. We plan to create an in browser gui to configure various trading strategies and put traders in the position to backtest these using a multithreaded approach which will dramatically shorten the time required to backtest trading strategies when compared to packages such as MT4, etc. This will be marked as part of a professional package within the social fintech site and carry a higher price but should prove extremely valuable for end users.
There are more options that will be added over time until our business becomes the primary source for all interested parties to convene. We will of course run heavy marketing and gain user feedback, then apply suggestions when appropriate to further make the entire user experience amazing for all our users.

Hello everyone, recently our team had a meeting (which we do almost weekly). This one however, focused on the priority of work and business direction.
The past 5-6 weeks I've been working on a side project for both the Janus and Ethereum classic community. I believe that it's very helpful for our future growth and opens many doors and new opportunities for JNS investment.
The one drawback in our timeline is there is simply too much work with regards to upcoming business for me to finish, package, launch, and market the project I've been consumed with the past weeks. We identified the overwhelming need to focus much harder on our business work instead.
So from this point, the work I've been doing which expanded our blockchain presence, will be put on hold until 4 things that take priority over it are completed. This will actually benefit the side project and overall health of potential success in business and meeting timelines in a much better fashion.
So at this point, we have basically:
1. Wrap up etcbets.com (https://etcbets.com/app/game/parabolic) little issues;
2. Upgrade BetterBets to new framework and games;
3. Finish content scraper site while testing potentially 1-2 new developers. (This is a side business that may or may not feed back to Janus tokens depending on their success rate);
4. Focus entirely on the creation, marketing, and launch of trademimic.com. (https://www.trademimic.com/)
Work and Janus team focus will be in that order, holding company creation should fall somewhere between action items #3-#4
Thank you for understanding, in my ambition sometimes I can become nearsighted to business need.

This monthly period from the current two sites that are profit sharing, we had a net revenue loss from players winning more than the sites profited. The divs monthly are provided when there is profit and canceled when there is an overall net loss. Janus Status Update
As you may have noticed, things have been a bit quiet lately. This post is an attempt to explain what has happened over the past few weeks and to clarify our outlook for the future.
Active Sites and Dividends
a) As you probably know, we got involved with the ETC (Ethereum Classic) community. As an icebreaker and to prove that we're men of our word and know what we're doing (more on this later), we launched ETCBets.com (https://etcbets.com/app/game/dice) , an upgrade of our existing codebase to use websockets as a transport layer which gives our site awesome betting speed and massively reduced server load. The site was well received and some of the site profits were distributed to both the ETC dev team(s) and Janus holders.
b) Parallel to this, BetterBets.io (https://betterbets.io/app/games) is still running and processing bets using both BTC and NXT. While it's initial reception from the NXT community was quite positive, traffic has dropped quite a bit over the past 2 months. Part of this may be our fault because we've been focused on our future businesses and have not done a lot of promotions and marketing; another factor contributing to the drop in traffic may be that the NXT community is simply too small to sustain large betting volumes now that the initial site 'newness' has worn off.
c) Since betting is an unpredictable business and lady luck can't be relied upon to always smile our way, ETCBets.com (https://etcbets.com/app/game/dice) profits in May were basically wiped out by a lucky (and/or skillful) player who managed to win a large pot. The same player came back in June and repeated his performance, leading to another low dividend month for Janus holders. Our feeling on this are (of course) mixed. On the one hand, we don't mind players winning and our investigation showed that this player's winning were legitimate; as such we can only congratulate him on his success (on a sidepoint, the fact that this player was able to win a significant amount of ETC should serve as proof that we run an honest and fair casino). On the other hand, since we own the bankroll and could not distribute any significant dividends to Janus holders we're a bit saddened by our loss. But such is the gambling business, you win some and you loose some.
d) Adding insult to injury, in early July a flaw in our site was discovered and an attacker managed to make off with about 490 ETC. Due to the fact that we have certain safeguards in place the attacker could not extract more than his amount from our site, but the loss, while not crippling still hurts. We put the site into maintenance and have since re-engineered the code which was responsible for the exploit. As of 2 days ago the site is live again with dice bets; Parabolic will be put live during the course of this week. To be clear: our server was not compromised and the majority of our bankroll remains unharmed and in our possession.
Future Plans
a) We have reached an agreement with a new developer who will join our team before the end of July. We hope that the addition of this developer will lighten the workload of our main dev (Lobos) and allow us to speed up development of our new sites.
b) We have always said that we will not put all our eggs in one basket. As such, we have for some time had plans for some side initiatives which at least deserve a shot to see if they can grow into viable businesses. One of these initiatives is about 50% complete and it will be the task of our new dev to take the code we have so far and bring it to completion.
c) In addition to everything else which has been going on, work on our first mainstream site - TradeMimic.com (https://www.trademimic.com/) - has begun and some basic pieces of functionality are starting to come together. There is still lots of work to be done for this site and completing it will be our devs primary focus for the remainder of Q3. We will keep everybody posted on progress and hope to invite some of our Janus investors to be beta testers when the site/code is ready for that.

Our upcoming mining operation, JNSHash, is going to be open to Janus token holders who own 100k JNS or more and mining payouts will vary based on 4 tiers. Further information will be coming out this month to allow people time to absorb the information.

If you want to reach an alpha level farm we appreciate all team token buyups that occur.
We realize Bitcoin is mooning but I assure you nothing goes parabolic forever, and as a long time trader you can nearly count on segwit to stop the rise on btc. We welcome all new people to our diverse project and look forward to a bright future with our current and new community members.

One of our upcoming sites is very important to the growth of our teams' online presence. It's not been mentioned much on this forum (mostly in slack), but is related to mass media and also has some tokenized reward aspects we are incorporating into it. This will open many new doors for us and in turn options for JNS users plus more coins.
I (bjorn) personally, did not initially plan to have so many large announcements all come at the same time, but this is what happens when a team is split into varied industry sections. It just so happens the launch of JNSHash will be around the same time as the aforementioned scraper site; www.trademimic.com will not be far behind as well.
2018 will be a year things take a very productive, and action driven course.

Hi Janus community,
We are finishing up the JNSHash membership document and our development team is undergoing testing for the media scraper site we have mentioned. The whole team will be reviewing the new business site before launching. Target date and links to this site for launch will be revealed after stress testing and all people can review.
It may not be fully known yet but this media site opens up so many options even if its only a mild success, it opens up so much more if it becomes a large success. Either way, we have great plans to merge blockchain into this site, and potentially many more like it.

Janus tokens are the only method to obtain hash power from this mining farm
The tier membership plan benefits will be valid for one year, and once finished it can be renewed. Renewal procedure will be announced 90 days prior to first-year membership end. In the event that the membership is not renewed, members hash power will forfeit back to the Janus Team.
JNSHash qualifying members will be prompted to choose their favorite currency/coin to be mined from the list shown on Prohashing.com (https://prohashing.com/). Our team strongly advise to pick up a wallet with private keys, not an external exchange wallet address.
Payouts will be sent from daily to weekly depending on coin chosen and when Prohashing.com (https://prohashing.com/) threshold is reached.
Daily membership are more static, however, in some, circumstances bonus coins from new coin launches (potential projects launch that show promise), will be sent to each member of each tier as we have demonstrated the past couple months. When this occurs we will announce and collect appropriate wallet addresses for the bonus coins.
Participants may move JNS from their signed account as long as such action does not jeopardize their Tier range. If this happens, they will be removed from the plan, and won't receive their payouts.
One switch coin per month. Subject to change in frequency as staffing time allows.

Hello quick update,
we have run into an issue with the current building for our electrical needs and the cost to revamp the transformer exceeds the cost to just relocate the farm by many thousands in funds. We apologize but the next 2 weeks we will need a lobetter-suited suited office to get hashing again.
We have considered already and contacted several options and places. Giga-watt in Washington state, another hosting facility in Iowa state, as well as reaching out to local commercial building with 3 phase electric owners. Today we have a strong potential option for a new location (it becomes available January 1st), Bjorn is moving as quickly as he can to make the shift and deals.
Even though this adds time delays, it's because much of the world moves at a pace that we, in Blockchain, do not, IE: people are slower. To avoid a service interruption in the future, we will not lease after this first year, but will, in fact, build our own facilities for mining. The land for this has been secured ahead of time, so this is part of the good news.
Once we have our temporary location up and running then full plans for our own place, on our own property will be revealed.

Basically, our team is going in and out of new potential mining buildings to secure a spot we have plenty of room for growth. When we first started the mining farm I could not anticipate the rate of growth we have achieved and we very quickly outgrew our first building.
I personally apologize for this delay and have established several building inspections the past 7 days and next 2 weeks until the new one is found. Fingers crossed, tomorrows visit results in the right locale. We have already secured more equipment to expand the income possibility of this membership for JNSHash while building hunting.

We are coordinating 2 major releases right now and following it up with 4 major releases for the next 2 quarters while working on new exchanges. One is physical, the mining farm, one is our media business site(s). We will have some news coming I believe those new and old will enjoy soon enough.
The cost to roll out the farm with several times more amperage is something I am tackling now, to understand how serious I am about it's growth I have asked my relatives to step in with me and help move it faster. Why is this important? Well because when time is an issue I will resort to the most trusted people I have nearby, my own family to speed up the building. Several members close to me have skill sets to turn any structure into mining at scale in short order.

Hi, Janus community and speculators,
As everyone knows, Janus tokens were swapped from NXT blockchain to Ardor blockchain, which constituted an immediate deactivation of the $JNS token on the NXT blockchain. See here the official announcement of Jelurida: https://www.jelurida.com/snapshot-instructions.
We expected in a normal way that the respective external exchanges such C-CEX.com (https://c-cex.com/?p=jns-btc), upgrade their wallet and at the same time, they would support the new Ardor Platform, where the real Janus tokens are right now.
After a long conversation, mainly with the owner of C-CEX.com (https://c-cex.com/?p=jns-btc), they decided not to upgrade to Ardor wallet. We explained that position affects Janus users since with the current JNS NXT version you can not send/receive/withdraw unless they perform the upgrade.
Unfortunately, there does not appear to be a resolution we can reach with C-CEX.com (https://c-cex.com/?p=jns-btc) and the way they handled deposits was, not ideal.
According to their wallet, roughly 200k $JNS tokens are on C-CEX.com (https://c-cex.com/?p=jns-btc):

Hello Janus community,
the deal has been made with the building owner of the old Kodak office for JNSHash mining operation. They agreed to provide up to 800 amps as our operation grows.
The contract goes into effect on April 1st. This is the soonest we can get machines in and hashing again, then begin expanding. Thank you for your patience in this aspect, we understand right now it is of huge importance to the community and will work very hard to bring it back ASAP.
Between now and April will be the cleanup, drywall, and electrical installation.
The building owner has stated they must perform some of this due to city code, so this is the reason for the delay. However, this is an opportunity (because I am also trying to look on the bright side here).
This means we can see if the new Nvidia line of GPU comes out which is super important for future investment into the hashrate, and also the release of new asic machines.

When we release Kreds strategic vision document (aka: whitepaper) it will include the genre and scope for this year and further websites.

Hello blockchain enthusiasts,
Building owner stated May 1st we could move in and begin setup. This is based on his construction team finishing the framing and drywall of the facility and installation of the first 400 amps electric.
Once that is ready we can begin getting the building filled with all the equipment. It requires several people to get this setup and we have all the parts but need to create a new rack system that will take some time even after may 1st. (need to hang drop outlets, set up the network, cards, rigs, etc...)
Then a major change to the system and payouts is required via an exchange system. Hashpower exchange versus our methods from last year announced.
We have a developer working on that now and if everything goes as planned then the exchange for hashpower and the mining rigs should coincide when ready.
More on this plus revised documents will be released.
