The concern for the environment is always at the center of every discourse in any global gathering of Nations. With the serious environmental problems that we are facing, such as global warming, water, and air pollution, acid rain, toxic waste, there is every possibility that the course of life on the planet will be altered if things remain the way they are. These frightening challenges that are staring us in the face and putting our future in jeopardy will continue to get worse if we don’t rise up to the challenge today rather than tomorrow.
Everyone from states to entrepreneurs and individuals has a role to play in protecting our environment and making it healthy for all inhabitants. There are a lot of technology-driven projects with a mission to proffer solutions to the environmental woes of the 21st century. EnviDa project is offering a data-driven approach to tackling the environmental problems of today’s world.
What is EnviDa?
EnviDa is a blockchain-powered ecosystem that serves as a database for environmental data by leveraging the innovated technology of a mobile mining rig called DriveMiner. An efficient database is vital to identifying regions with serious environmental problems, and it also helps in designing effective environmental practices. With EnviDa, environmental policymakers can also monitor the effectiveness of their new policies to ensure they are effective.
The DriveMiner innovated technology has sensors that are installed on vehicles that are constantly on the move. This means that EnviDa will have access to environmental data from multiple locations at the same time. The data can then be stored securely on the blockchain and can be accessed and analyzed later.
Environmental data tracking with EnviDa provides a real-time representation of the progress of any country. One fascinating thing about the data is that it is immutably stored on the blockchain. Therefore, no party can manipulate the data to align with their interest. As more businesses adopt the DriveMiner technology, the environmental data is generated, and the EnviDa database will be more up-to-date.
How EnviDa Works
The EnviDa project leverages an interconnected network of multiple devices via the DriveMiner box to securely collect and store environmental data on the blockchain. The DriveMiner model is built to serve as an Internet of Things (IoT) for collecting environmental data from different locations. These captured off-chain data will be transferred in real-time using tamper-proof oracle network service to store the data in the EnviDa blockchain system. Once the data has been recorded on the EnviDa blockchain, it can be accessed by environmental policymakers and businesses that rely on accurate environmental data.
To have access to the environmental data of EnviDa, the interested individual or the organization will have to purchase the EnviDa token ($EDAT). Also, the miner that collects the data and validates the transaction into the EnviDa blockchain network will receive $EDAT as a reward.
What is DriveMiner?
DriveMiner is an innovative technology based on the worldwide patented technology of the company DriveMining GmbH and Co.KG, also known as C1M, and other mobile mining systems. The DriveMiner is particularly designed for B2B businesses that offer transportation services like logistics, taxis, etc. Additionally, the DriveMiner box can be installed in an electric vehicle.
At the time of this writing, the technology has already been tested for 18 months in its initial prototype and 10 months in 20 extra prototypes. The first DriveMiner prototype was built in 2019 and presented at the Frankfurt Trade Fair of the same year.
With a dependable and accurate environmental database, it becomes easy for policymakers to make informed and effective decisions that will curb the current environmental challenges. The EnviDa project is making this possible with its immutable and real-time environmental data storing capability. For more information about the EnviDa project, click and read the whitepaper.
