5 Things You Didn’t Know You Could Use Bitcoin For

0

Bitcoin has surprisingly been around for quite a while now and although it seems like the fad of it is coming to an end, there are still plenty of things on this earth that you can buy with it. Keep in mind, some countries have wholeheartedly taken to this relatively new currency with some even announcing that it is an official and legitimate form of currency on the same level as actual tangible money that has been in circulation for years. Here are but a few things you can buy with bitcoin across the world.

Beer

Bitcoin has been accepted for quite some time in different pubs around the world, most notably in Sydney, Australia, Beijing, China, and various locations in Russia as well as London. The United States has also gotten on board with this and has a few accepting locations across the country. The whole concept may seem weird but as long as people and establishments can see the value in bitcoin then it stands to reason that it should be accepted. And what better way to keep the crypto market going than by having beer as one of its backers.

Luxury vehicles

With the increasing popularity and value of Bitcoin, everyone wants to get a taste. This is not excluded to even very exclusive businesses such as luxury car dealerships. Shop around and if you have the right amount of Bitcoin, you may be able to get your hands on even the most exotic cars such as a Lamborghini or a Jaguar F-type. Be sure to do your homework though. It is still a relatively new way of transferring money and there are still a lot of car dealerships that have not caught on to the concept yet.

Gifts

Anyone who knows anything about gift buying understands that gift cards are often the preferred way to go as opposed to trying to buy an actual gift for someone. This is both easy and appreciated by the recipient because they don’t have to smile cautiously and thank you for the terrible sweater you bought them. In many countries you can exchange virtual Bitcoin for gift cards, making the whole situation of gift-giving a lot less awkward and way more streamlined. There are often sports sections available on Bitcoin websites too, so if gift cards are not your style, you may have access to an entire range of sportswear to give.

Transactions in Japan, Denmark, and many other countries

Japan has taken to Bitcoin in quite a big way and is accepted pretty much everywhere these days. Many European countries have also decided to accept the use of Bitcoin as a legitimate currency. Countries such as Germany, Iceland, France, and Spain have essentially legitimized this form of currency making daily transactions a breeze for everything from betting on soccer tournaments to buying your daily coffee.

Taxis

Certain countries such as Hungary and Argentina are allowing the use of Bitcoin for taxi rides which is an attempt to strengthen the local economies by accepting different forms of currency. Some of these countries are still progressing and rely on tourism so it is in their best interest to be able to cater to as wide an audience as possible. Many tourists rely on local taxis to get around and drivers being able to accept Bitcoin is a positive step for everyone involved.
