There's one thing we should take a look at is according to WJ, 80% BTC global transactions are from Japan, Korea and Vietnam.
It makes me remember to the financial crisis of 2007–2008.

    That's not surprising me. I'm pretty sure countries with a high ratio of unbanked people will drive the cryptocurrency revolution (crypto as mean of payment, rather than investment/store of value).

    I'm not sure but China has some rules to prohibit the crytocurrency transactions.
    And you know, transfer money from China to Jpan, Korea or Vietnam is not that easy.
