Coffee in Starbucks using bitcoin card: experience of Russian entrepreneur
Debit bitcoin cards can become a part of citizens’ daily life. It was Roman Potemkin, a founder of startup range, that brought Russian cryptocurrency users to this concept.
Being a financial expert and serial entrepreneur in the mobile banking sector, Roman has become a leader of fintech developers. The result of their work is Wirex service, combining usability of digital currency and familiar payment infrastructure in one solution.
Using Wirex debit bitcoin card, one can buy coffee in Starbucks and make other purchases. Roman Potemkin will tell how this concept operates and what barriers should be overcome in order to implement BTC cards into daily life at Blockchain & Bitcoin Conference Russia on Thursday, 10 November 2016. It is the most large-scale blockchain conference in Eastern Europe that brings together entrepreneurs, developers and cryptocurrency users.
Artem Tolkachev, director at Deloitte CIS consulting company, will speak within the same section with Roman Potemkin. Artem’s presentation will be dedicated to the aspects, allowing to use a bitcoin card in future. He will tell about the regulation of blockchain, digital currencies and smart contracts.
Participants of the Moscow conference will include representatives of Microsoft, IBM, Sberbank of Russia, HSE, Moscow State University of Foreign Affairs and Skolkovo, as well as startup founders and industry equipment manufacturers. Besides two parallel sections of the conference, there will be a common demo zone.
The conference will take place this Thursday, November 10, at Moscow Digital October center.
